Today, I got up nice and early and took my time getting ready. However, disturbingly enough I realized that my purple glasses, my favorite everyday glasses are missing!!! So very frusterating! And that made me late to the Tower. I got there a few minutes late because of that, but at least Lisa was a bit late to. And luckily we found eachother quite quickly. We paid for our tickets and then, since I hadn't had breakfast, we went to a cute little stand and I got a coffee and a croissant. We then went iknto the tower of london. And we stood aound for a few minutes waiting for our tourguide to begine. Well, once he started, i noticed whata great tour guide he was. He really knew what he was talking about and was very interesting to listen to as well as entertaining. It is funny how i can spot a "good" tour guide from a "bad" one. He basicially ust gave a small overview of what is in the tower of London. After a bout an hour or so, the tour was done and we a were ree to wander as we pleased. OUr first stop: THE CROWN Jewel, of course! It's only natural that I would go thtere frist. And boy oh boy were they exquisite!!! So sparkly and everything. But first uponon entering the building it was really cool, because they had haveery royal crest from William the Conquer in 1066 to Elizabeth II. That was very fascinating. Then, we went into a room that showed the video of ElizabethII's coronation. It was spectacular. I got goosebumps. I wish i could be a Queen!!! LOL...And then we got to see the prized possessions! it is amazing! Spectacular! I really wished I had something like that! After that, we went to White Tower, the main tower int eh center of the complex. And this actually is a royal residence, although it is not used as one it still is called that. In there there were a ton of military objects, which were cool, but not really my kinda thing. But it was nice to see. they we walked around the green a bit...we saw the scaffold where Anne Bolyne was executed upon. Also we saw the houses of the Beefeaters. These are the guys that give the tours and they actually live in the Tour. And so do the soliders that return from Iraq. Then, we went to the Bloody tour, which was the place that housed Sir Walter Raleigh during his "gentleman" imprisionment. Our final stop in the tower before going to the gift shop was the Mideval castle. Which was of course still undergoing some reconstructioning. But it was really cool because in the first room we got to see what was orgininally bulit in 1077 when the Tower was commissioned. That means that that room is almost 1,000 YEARS OLD!!! Holy Moly!!!that is really old. And it was such a beautifutl day out that I am glad i went to the Tower of London today. After that we went to the gift shop and I bought a book about the crown jewels because I wasn't allowed to take pictures of them. Then, we took some pictures along the River Thames and split. Lisa went back to her hotel, and I went to Sainsbury's!!! Yea for food!!!
At Sainsbury's it was completely random because they had, only a handful though, of coconuts. So i bought one, what the hell? I then came back and did my homework and made some dinner and kicked around online. then end for today

Hello KT Heitman. How I miss you let me count the ways! (1) I miss you walking around in your sweatpants with your hat, coat, mittens attached to your sleeves and your cup of coffee. (2) I miss hearing the echo of "Holler" in the air as you spot a sisterly Delta near by. (3) I miss you at meetings to sit next to and talk about the breeze. (4) I miss you in a Dr. Wegge class, though neither of us have him this semester. (5) Most of all I just miss your conservative enthusiasm and flare around SNC. I love your photos and your journal enteries. Keep a positive outlook, because before you know it you will be back in the Dells in WI. **PS I miss your Ducks sweatshirt!**
