Destination......Hounslow, England...?
I am supposed to be home to Edmonton, landing at around 5:20pm on Thursday. Instead, I am sitting in an Internet cafe in Hounslow, England. How did that happen you ask? Well, my flight on Kenya Airways was cancelled so they had to bus me back into Nairobi where they put me up at the
Laico Regency Hotel. It was pretty swanky, with all meals included and transport back to the airport in the morning. Afetr a very late supper, and a very early breakfast, I was back at the airport checking in again.
Everything went well this time but they put my bags through straight to Edmonton and they do not even know what flight I will connect on in London yet. My arrival time in London is 2 hours past my connection to Edmonton. So they have now put me up in another hotel for tonight called the
Park Inn near Heathrow airport.
Apparently, they expect to book me on the flight tomorrow afternoon (Friday) at 3:00pm to Edmonton. That should get me home just in time to get some sleep Friday night before I start work again Saturday morning. Yeah.......
So, I'm not home yet and I won't count my chickens before they hatch!
