Edit Blog Post

Okay, so I´ve been in Sweden since Thursday (coincidently, that´s the last time I showered, but that´s a whole other story.) Not a lot of time to blog between almost being hit by a moose, swimming in the freezing cold ocean and eating Swedish meatballs.

Back to Honefoss for a minute.

One of my days there, Ingi took me to an amazing sculpture park not far from the town. To put things in perspective, Honefoss has a population of about 13,000 (pretty much the size of Brattleboro), surrounded by hills (can we techinically say fjords if they don't sink into an ocean?) I know I´m beginning to overuse the word "beautiful", but I intend to continue to do so 😊 One of the days I'm there, we head out to this museum/sculpture park literally in the middle of nowhere. We met up with one of Ingi's friends for lunch (sort of country, homemade goodness), then took a walk around the park (while Oscar slept, oblivious to the fact that he was pushed up an insanely steep hill at one point.) The "sculptures" were so much fun... both to view and photograph.

So glad I got to see this place... I never would have if it weren't for friends knowing friendly people... who let you stay at their home and watch episodes of Cracker at night over chocolate cake 😊

thoughts (in chronological order) 1. what the hell kind of lense is that and why don't i have one? 2. man, i really want that lense. forget the fisheye and the panoramic. i want the kaleidoscope one. wasn't that a show? no, that was calliope. and i remember i wrote into them for something because they had their address at the end of every show and you could get something for writing in. what was it? 3. a ha! it's not a lense at all! it's a cool super duper telescopic thingy. i take back my death threats. 4. try and remember how green that grass is because winters here in new england starve us of color. 5. self-portrait! makes me miss you. we never did go on that photo trip in boston. raincheck! 6. the ground in the sky makes me think of when i was a kid doing somersaults down a hill in my back yard for hours on end, do kids even know how to somersault these days? i mean the kind that doesn't happen when you simultaneously hold down the left arrow key and R1 and R2.
