Greetings avid readers (at least I hope)

Here is the latest update of blog starting with the boring bit (waiting for the Landy)

Walvis Bay is very quiet. A picturesque place just again very quiet, surprisingly so seen it has the only deep water port on the west coast of Africa and is the second largest town in Namibia. Its main attraction is its lagoon which attracts dolphins, seals, pelicans and flamingos. We saw a seal jump on a boat, no dolphin sightings. There were lots of flamingos to see as you walked around the lagoon they were all feeding on the sand flats, lots of pelicans on the shores and flying by too. The only other attraction for us was the US tennis open. So it was a very inpatient wait for the landrover, praying it was in one piece.

Monday September 9th has arrived, D day, landrover pick up day!!! Off to a bad start, told to get there for 9pm, we are there on the dot, told the container still had not been unloaded, thankfully though as promised they called us at 11am and we went to pick Adam’s baby up. Sailed through customs fine then went to open the container, I have only ever seen Adam as nervous on our wedding day waiting to see if it had arrived in one piece, then when it had the happiness I can only compare to when Man Utd won the treble! So after spending some time attaching the roof tent off we went. Spitzkoppe first stop….

A quick note, although the landrover had now been in a container for the best part of 4 weeks, after plugging in the kill switch the battery monitors surprisingly showed both batteries still plus 80%. One turn of the key was all it took and it started like I had driven it yesterday!! A check of all the fluids showed them to be full (although there was a very small patch of oil on the floor) and it was ready to start our adventure.

Oh, look at the pretty birds!
Yeah, it arrived in one peice!!!!! Bet Ads is like a pig in shit about that. Internet probs over for the month, hopefully. It is the problem of having students live with you. They run You tube in the background and use all the internet juice. So pleased you are getting on with your adventure. I am very envious. all the girls around the world are very sad about Patrick Swayze and Keith Floyd, more so i than about Patrick though. Do you keep up with the news? Sounds an odd thing to say but sometimes you have better things to be doing or just dont want to. Anyway, keep me updated. All is good here. May have a small hernia so have to see OBGYN for a scan in a few weeks but Winston is fine. Big and healthy and measuring a week ahead. Big kisses to you and Ads and Landy Em
