Hey Everyone,
I am going to start this travel blog up again and this time I promise that I will update it more often. For those of you that dont know I moved to Lima, Peru to find a job. I don't have a job yet, but I have a friend that is living here and I have a place to stay for a little while. As my friend Todd said, I pretty much illegally immigrated to Peru.
I had an interview with a school today and it went well. They told me that they would like to hire me, but it is the middle of the school year right now and they don't have any openings. The lady told me that I can definitely work there starting the next school year in March, but they also may be able to create something for me now. If not she has contacts and I have other contacts that can help me get a job, probably teaching adults at an institute until March. So right now everything looks good.
So far I like Lima. It is huge compared to where I have lived before. There are so many people everywhere,

and a lot of traffic. It is much different than Puerto Cortes. I am staying, and will probably live in Miraflores, which is the nicest part of town and is close to the ocean. There is definitely a lot more to do here than in Puerto Cortes. My friend is part of an organization here that works with foreigners, and I have met a lot of people already. A good thing is that all these people force each other to only speak Spanish, which is great practice for me. The only problem right now is that it is winter and it is pretty cold here. I will get used to it though.
So hopefully I will get a job soon, then find a place to live. I am going to watch the Rockies game tonight at a sports bar around the corner. I am posting some pictures of the area that I am staying in Lima.

Talk to you soon,

Farley

Farley, You said you wanted more comments, so here's one. Thank you for posting on your blog. A lot of us really do like reading it, and seeing the photos. It looks like you are in the spiffy part of town. Luke and I are listening to the Rockies on the radio right now. Unfortunately the Giants just got a run. Mom
