Tame bird in Botanical gardens Hi there,
I am posting a bit earlier in the day - 5:05 pm. By the way, it is a 14 hour time difference. Just had a full day at the Victoria DOT. Their approach to target setting is very different from New South Wales, but also good. We heard from the Secretary of DOT (one step below Minister of Transport) say that their land use and transportation plans were one and the same. Australia does not appear to have a regional planning process as we know it. The state has a far greater role in land use and reconginizes the importance of urban areas for the state's economic vitality. More upon my return... I am loaded with about 10 pounds of paper and reports.
I am posting a few pics. Some from Sydney and a few from Melbourne. Haven't seen much here. Our hotel is only about three blocks from the offices. The weather was incredible in Sydney-crystal clear blue skies and temps in the mid 60s. Here, it is cold, rainy- temps in the 50s. I am having to wear my polartec jacket.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

Jane, doesn't compute, does it unless they're making burgers out of fish - yuk?? From my connections with IAP2 - many practitioners are in Australia - seems to be a great PI effort there.
