The boys are back in town
Feb 3
Today we droped Dave off to the vets and had lunch with Jane and Peter in Mandurah at her sisters house. The views from there were beautiful with being surounded by native bushland and a view to water on 2 sides and had lunch with a family of Splendid Wrens. We had updated our last web page and Sandy dropped us back home in the boat with a lovely moonlit view as wed came back from the island.
Feb 4
Nard spent the night at a friends house so he could be up early to go fishing on the boat. Nard cought a Trevalley and one of the other blokes cought a 53 cm whiting that they cooked up on the BBQ for lunch. Meanwhile I went for a walk down the beach to Point Peron where there are views of Shoalwater bay and Rockingham bay out to both the islands we look out at as well as Garden Island (larger than Rottness and a naval base). Matt's dad turned 60 so we went out for a bit of a party.
Feb 5
Hard day at the ofice today swimming at Point Perron and walking the dogs.
Feb 6
Nard and I went for a bike ride along the path that follows the beach out the front of the house. 18 kms later and a little tires we followed the day up with a few swims and friends over and a drive along the foreshore at sunset.
Feb 7
Nard and I celebrated our 8th aniversary yesterday so today we took ourselves to Little Creatures for lunch. This is a brewery on the foreshaw of Feemantle that had cusions for the boys to sit on. We went and sat in the park (as we couldn't walk Dave) and fell asleep before a drive up the coast a bit to Cottesloe and an evening playing upwords
Feb 8
Another hard day with a walk along the beach and a swim at the local pool.
Feb 9
More walks along the beach , picnic at the park and pick up Kristian from the airport, dinner out on the island.
Feb 10
This morning we went out in the boat to Sandy's Island home and then out for a bit of a spin to the other Islands. We had a swim while wathing the seals on the beach. You have to stay about 5 meters away which is fine by me. And those of you wondering about the sharks, there is a good reef arounf the areas so not very likely they could come in. But I was still looking. Then a drive to Margaret River for dinner with Jez and family and friends at a resteraunt for his 30th birthday.
Feb 11
Woken up in the back of the car with the sun shining in and the temperature rising we made preparations for the doo and then got into it. Top night.
Feb 12
A slow recovery had by some, and a bit of a tidy up for an evening of barefoot bowls and fish and chips on the green.
Feb 13
A faster recovery today and some of the boys went for a surf. Jez took us on a bit of a tour a few 4WD tracks and a few beaches, an unsuccessfull attemt to catch some crayfish and a sleepy drive back to shoualwater.
Feb 14
Happy Valentines to all. Today was spent at the Hillary's and drop off at the airport and an evening walk along the foreshaw track after a hot day here.
Feb 15
Some usual things today, walk, housework. Not routine life again.
Feb 16
This morning a job interview for Sam up in Perth and Dave's stitches out. Opperation may not have been a complete sucess as there is too much movement in the knee already and he may require another opperation but with a bit less pain and a shorter recovery time. The crew were over for corned beef.
Feb 17. This morning was another 20km ride and some organising for jobs. Hope you are well. Love Sam and Nard.
