So I finally made it, I am in Australia now! Melbourne reminds me a lot of Vancouver except that it is sunny and hot unlike the 30something days of rain that I left behind. I can't say I am upset about that at all. I am living in the suburb of Fitzroy which is a lot like east van. It is filled with tons of vintage clothing shops, artsy bookstores, vegetarian restaurants, pubs, bars, the usual. I have spent way too much money here though, I can't stop this shopping addiction that I have. The women here are beautiful and they have an amazing sense of fashion.
Anyways, I haven't really done anything touristy, umm we did drive out to this little surf town last weekend, Flinders, and soaked up some sun.
I have put together a bike here for myself so I have been exploring the city with my new red bike. It is much better than paying for the tram all the time, it's actually quite expensive.
I have seen a few shows, a couple bands and a couple of the burlesque groups. They were all quite entertaining, there is a lot of talent here.
I have taken a few photos only, here they are.
Hopefully next time I will have some better photos and more interesting things to say....

Hey Shalyn
Just learned of your travel blog from Richelle. I'm enjoying it so much and am now going through your old journals (and not getting any work done). It's so cool to be able to travel along with you. You have so many people here thinking of you. You are such a great kid. Hope you're having the best time.

Ahh so you're finally there! Good to hear you're having a good time. I'm so jealous, it dribbled rain yesterday here and the wind is so cold. Are you going to stay there the whole time? Looking forward to more blogs girl. big hugs Sarah
