Day One - 26/6/09

Left home at 3.30am ...... long day! Plane left on time, Glenda and Kyle sitting next to the lady from hell! Issy had her usual chuck about 1.5 hours out of landing. Was a little rough at times. Arrived into KL on time, long que to get through immigration, unfortunately we went into the wrong line! Very slow. Advantage of long time in immigration is bags waiting for us on carousel and loaded them onto trolley and walked through the glass doors in the humidity! Driver from the apartments waiting for us and left for the hour drive into KL. Arrived at the apartments and Janine and the kids had cheese toasties waiting for us. Had a chat over lunch and then the kids went for swim. The apartments are quite nice, but the grounds and pool area is really lovely. Infinity type pool with a glass bottom over a ledge.

Stu arriving from Singapore around 5.30pm so after a swim back to apartments for a wine or two while waiting.

After Stu arrived we walked down to Jl Ipoh and caught 3 taxi's into Chinatown. J9 got ripped off!!! cost Stu and I 8myr each and j9's was 30myr! Peak hour into Chinatown so slow going. Had a wander through Chinatown 'just looking' and then had tea. Len wanted fish, but after asking how much they wanted 150myr (about $55A), they were tiny.....I don't think so!!! Then it was 'I give you good discount' and he came down to 120myr. We chose instead two chicken dishes around 20myr instead!!! Some guy was busking just behind us and he was awful. He just got louder and louder and tuneless!

Back to apartments another few wines and chat....everyone off to bed.

hi see i can master technology,send up date ? humidity there it has not stoped raining here . We lost again on the weekend 9.17 to 2.2 the weather was atroshes .Things the same old here. Miley is missing sam she sits on sues driveway waiting . Have fun lv lisa
