From Phuket's lovely beach at Nai Yang, I travelled north to the more rustic beach at Khao Lak. It was here that I noticed the most devastation from the Tsunami.

One way to get yourself onto the boat! Many Thai's are unable to swim - which was disastrous during the Tsunami.

The beach at Khao Lak was beautiful but haunting! The remnants of last years Tsunami were evident everywhere. This included a Navy vessel which was half a kilometer inland.

Okay, so not much of a picture but it was all I could get before he upped and hopped it! That was after I nearly squashed it to death when putting my shoes on first thing in the morning.

Watch out Jo's coming
Hi Clodagh, Hope everything is going as well as you'd hoped. The journal is really good and the photos are great, most of the guys are keeping an eye on it and are all pretty jealous. I see Joanne is coming over soon for a couple of weeks, best you send her back we don't want to lose two of you! If there's anything you need let me know we'll get Jo to bring it.
