Some of you may be asking yourselves "What is this?"
Let me have the honor and distinction of introducing you all to "the Squater." This is the Asian version of the toilet. Yup that's it.
I've seen these in other places along my travels. Maybe once or twice, and it was usually in a really dodgy place, but these are everywere here. It completely and utterly sucks. I'd say about 90% of the time it's a squater.
When you go to the bathroom in Asia two questions cross your mind. 1. Is it a squater or a regular toilet? and 2. Do they have toilet paper. The usual answers to these questions are 1. Squater and 2. No
This poses a problem 100% of the time for Women and about 50% for men. Once you've learned to always carry toilet paper and how to deal with the Squater toilet you've basically masterd this ordeal.
What I've learned to do is disrobe do my thing get redressed and walk out with my pride just a bit lower.

The Squatter
Once you realize that half the world goes about its business in this way, it puts all of life in perspective. Nice blog again, Adam.
