Some BA Observations

-When traffic lights are red, they give you a yellow light to let you know they’re about to turn green. I knew this from the last time I was here, but I had forgotten. I like that little warning - ‘almost your turn!’ it is telling me.
-It is winter here now, but not that cold (lowest around mid-upper 40s to 60s). BA locals are walking around in parkas and ski-wear. It seems a bit extreme.
-Everyone I’ve come into contact with through work is incredibly kind, and gracious enough to speak in English. Why, oh why did I not learn Spanish growing up? Is it too late to learn it now?
-Dogs are scruffy here.
-The morning light is very beautiful - colorful skies on wonderful architecture. Worth getting up early (while most of the city sleeps).
-I wondered if professionals in BA start work at like noon to accommodate for their late night lifestyle. That answer is no. They get up and go to work early like we do in the States. Maybe they only need half as much sleep? Maybe they just catch up on weekends? I really don’t know.
-There are a lot more cars and people in the city in May than there were the week between Christmas and New Years (last time I was here). Taxi ride in rush hour? 30 minutes. Taxi ride home (same distance not in rush hour)? 5 minutes.
-Seeing a bit more male chest hair than I’m used to. And male jewelry.
-The women are gorgeous.
