Brisbane - CONSTANT RAIN!

Brisbane

It rained, all the time

That's it!


Well, a tad more......

We were up really early for the flight to Brisbane, and got a bus to the tin pot airport! However, the fog was shocking, so we thought the flight may be delayed, and it was. We were stuck in the tin shed for 4 hours. We landed in Brisbane in the late afternoon to be greeted by storms! We found a boozer right next to the Hostel doing cheap food, or so we thought, and settled in! The food ended up being not so cheap, clever advertising on their part. It was also Pub Quiz night and we were roped into it! Did ok considering there was a lot of local knowledge questions!

Next day we were woken by STORMS!! Proper storms!! It basically rained for 2 days straight! I actually went out in it for 30 mins, just to see what it was like! Got soaked, suprisingly! So we were hostel bound all day & night, boring!

We decided to leave the next day, down the coast to Byron Bay. We awoke to glorious Brisbane sunshine, and bused it into even worse Byron Storms!!! A lot of the area we travelled has been declared official disaster zones due to the storms & flooding!!!!

So not a lot to say about Brisbane really, apart from storms, we didn't really see much!

Having blamed me for bringing the bad weather to Cairns, I am happy to say that the weather in Brisbane was lovely when I was there! Good practice for New Zealand. Wrap up boys!
