Started yesterday morning early from Paris via Weimar to Praque. another 1.100 km.
Due to technical problems at the train there was a delay of 2 hours and only arrived in Weimar 4 o clock in the afternoon.
Germany has their share of the crisis . never saw so many people in Germany trying to find food in the wastebins at the stations.

Weimar. 65.000 people in the Bundesland Thueringen. The oldest record of the city dates from 895. The city gave his name to the weimar republic ( 1919-1933) and during worldwar II there was the concentration camp Buchenwald who took care for slaves for the local industry.
Weimar visited by Hitler 150 times sleeping in hotel Elephant.Weimar a centre of Nazis before and in worldwar II.

They lived here all:
Goethe and Marlene Dietrich,
Schiller and Liszt,
Johan Sebastian Bach, Martin Luther
and Nina Hagen.

After being heavily damaged during the war the city has been reconstructed completely.
Only remark might be. Too good. It are new buildings in old style.
Very special are the clocks in the Cityhall. They are made of porcelain.

A special Place:
to drink a beer in Zum schwarze Baere
weimarweimarweimar

Lots of tourists.

Starvation in Germany ?
People who are stirring in waste bins look mainly collect bottles and cans and cash in the deposit of up to 25 ct per can. Still depressing but different from searching food in waste bins because they have nothing to eat..
