Bodhgaya, the city of enlightenment. We are now enveloped in the realm of buddhism. We are staying in the Burmese Buddhist Monastery for the next four nights. We visited the Mahabodhi Temple this morning and meditated under the Bodhi tree. This is a decendent of the actual tree that the Buddha sat under when he became enlightened and is the most holy pilgrimage site for Buddhists to visit. There are many other temples and historical sites around the city that mark important places where the Buddha taught and meditated. We are also going to try and help out at a local ashram/orphanage and/or some local schools in the next couple of days. E.

Jason and Bean, I miss you guys and it sounds as though you all may never return. A good reason to come to India then we could start the red Love commune there. Tell me something of the spirit of the people. Have you spoken with any Buddhists, is their dispostion any different from that of the swamis you have talked to? Keep having fun and teach the Indian children to chant EEEEEH!!! -Chadwyq
