Goldophin and Latymer
This is the school where Dr. Wolfe teaches Today I had class 9-12 and it was quite boring, again. But at least the people I have gotten to know are pretty cool. After class, though, I ventured to Hammersmith and Fulham to meet Dr. Kenneth Wolfe. Dr. Wolfe is a professor/teacher at an all girls school in Hammersmith called Godolphin and Latymer. He is also a good friend of President Hynes of SNC and that is how I got the contact information. He treated to a meal at his school and showed me around. It was a really nice school. All the girls were in uniforms that consisted of tights, skirts and sweater sets. I don't know how I would feel about wearing a skirt everyday! but they seem to manage well. Dr. Wolfe introduced me to many of his fellow colleagues and they all enquired about American politics and education, as well as just information about myself. We also had a good discussion about WWII and Dr. Wolfe says I must go to Normandy. Once I got back Jacqueline and I sat down and planned out our spring break! It definitely will be jammed packed!!! Then, after we got done with that, at about midnight, I went back
Cutty Sark
A famous sailing ship to my room and some girls from downstairs came up and we stayed up very late talking!
It was, all in all, a great day!
And since Thursday was a bit of a bust, not too much to report on, I am also going to add Friday to this as well!

Today I was starting to feel a bit homesick. All my friends are back at school without me, doing their own thing. I am here doing my own thing and have been finding it quite hard to integrate and get to know other people. Everyone is segregated by their own schools from the US, and nobody is willing to venture out of their comforts zones. Whenever I do actually approach people from other schools, they look at me like I am crazy, Like I should be just sticking to my own school friends. But, hey, I didn't come here with any friends, so I guess, I should just mind my place in the social order at FIE and just continue to do things by myself because that is what seems to make me most happy. Danny IMed me today to tell me that
Sir Francis Drake
Outside of the National Maritime Museum he had to eat lunch alone! and will have to eat lunch alone everyday of the semester. I told him the same thing! Because I do eat alone, I eat every meal alone!
For my class today we went to The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. It was actually pretty fascinating! This is built on the land that used to be the palace to the Tudor Kings and Queens. Our professor also took us to the Prime Meridian, because you can't go to Greenwich and not stop at the Prime Meridian!!! It was pretty cool as well; there were all these gizmos and gadgets about how to measure the earth and the stars. It was weird to see how much of the progress has been made in the last 50 yrs or so. On the ride back I finished a book I bought about Raphael, so that was nice. I bought a sandwich at the Sandwich shop! I have become a big fan of the Chicken Avocado!!! MMM...MMM...Good!!!
But since tomorrow is going to be busy, I spent the afternoon running simply errands and reading for class.
Went to bed quite early....

Days
I'm sorry to hear that you are homesick so soon. I remember feeling that way as well. When you do, remember that the time will fly by and before you know it you'll be coming home to the "same ol', same ol" here. I'm glad that you are going places by yourself when others aren't interested in doing things you like and with others from SNC and those you are meeting through classes and travels. Keep doing what you feel like doing! Enjoy your quiet days as the busy ones sound really busy! I'm hoping you will get a letter for Valentines Day, but I'm not sure of the mail. Did you ever get the package with the quackers? I lose track of the days. I'm thinking that your interview re: your internship is tomorrow morning? God bless that meeting. You'll be great. Call us when you get back to London from your trip to Paris. Love, Mom
