Well its almost Semana Santa, so we're getting pretty anxious for some time off! Lisa and I are leaving for London Friday night, staying for four nights, and coming back on Tuesday so we can see how they celebrate Semana Santa over here. And supposedly we are supposed to watch out for Antonio Banderas, who has been wandering the streets and will continue to until he leaves at the end of the holiday...

This weekend went by realllllyyyy fast. I spent Friday night at Lisa's house since her señora was gone visiting family, and then Saturday we went out since Madison's friend from home was celebrating her last night here. We all got pretty tired though and went home early! When I got home, I stuck my key in the lock to open the door, only to find out that my señora had left her key inside the lock on the other side of the door, which means I was locked out! So not knowing what to do, I tried as hard as I could to get my key in the lock anyways and see if I could wiggle it through, but had absolutely no success...then I proceeded to call her cell phone but she didn't answer, so I ended up having to ring the buzzer...A LOT...she finally heard me and I got in, by this time it was about 3 in the morning and I was a little freaked out because I was figuring I would trapped in the hallway for the night! Definitely not my idea of fun....

I'm finding that I get along with my host sisters really well though, which is really nice, because as nice as my señora is, I don't really seem to click with her. And the fact that she is constantly forcing food on me and makes me feel bad when I don't eat "enough" doesn't really help! Today at lunch she outright asked me "Por qué no has engordado?" Directly translated, this means, "Why haven't you fattened up?" Then when she asked her daughter if based on my face I looked like I gained weight, and when she answered no, she seemed slightly frazzled. This aggravates me SO MUCH. Especially since I feel sick half the time from eating either ridiculously huge portions or having something so extremely unhealthy that my body pretty much hates me for. I will probably never make nightly Steak N Shake runs again when I get home, because here I feel like I make one every single night...today my host mom asked me if I wanted pizza (referring to an entire pizza I will be expected to finish on my own) or fries and some other meat thing that she stuffs in the deep fryer. I told her I already had dinner plans...actually I lied, but I really didn't feel like going to sleep feeling sick tonight after our 10:00 dinner. I just realized I have vented about this situation for 3 posts in a row, haha.

I also went to Ronda this weekend! It was a lot of walking, but very very pretty. Its also the only city in Spain that has a stone bull ring, so we got to get a tour of that as well. The beginning of the day was beautiful and warm, but it ended with a lot of rain...fortunately we only had to deal with it for a couple of hours. Unfortunately my camera died for the day 😞 But, I managed to get pictures from everyone else! 😊 One thing I really liked about the city is that half of it was old and remained unchanged from hundreds of years ago, and the other half was more modern. I also saw a TON of green space for the first time in months, and it had an amazing view of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Time is FLYING!
