split right down the middle. Oh the agony of defeat eh?
We are getting numerous e-mails wondering if we are okay since there has been no entry in the travel blog of late. We are a-okay. If we are just playing tennis, it doesn't seem necessary to update but we did do something a little extra lately. Day before yesterday, we went to the "Body Works" exhibit which happens to be here right now. I put up a few pictures. It is hard to believe these are actual bodies but they are. Instead of a bunch of body parts in jars of formaldahyde like I expected, they are preserved by a process called plastination. They almost look as if they could be models made of some composite. I think the most striking thing for both of us was the smokers lungs vs the non-smokers lungs. I immediately cut back to 3 packs a day after seeing that one. There was a bit of controvery about the exhibit here in Tampa. Authorities, or so they would like to be, claimed this guy never got permission from the dead people to go on display. Can you imagine that? Well he took it to court and won so good on him. I am convinced

more than ever that anyone working for the gov't is a moron and that is a prerequisite for employment.
We also had a fun day with our friends Terry and Darla Bell. I used to rent from them before I had a motorhome. They have rentals at Paradise Lakes Resort. It is called TRIP which stands for Terrys' Rentals in Paradise. They are in the Bulletin or call them up at 813-949-8354. We had lunch at a nice water front eatery and then walked along the beach and had ice cream at a different place. They just bought a house on the water here in Hudson Florida as a place to get away. That is it behind them. They have their boat right at the back door. Good one Terry and Darla.
As an aside, I did do a quick trip to meet Will in Texas for looking over the properties. I included a picture of University Village which is 60 units right on the campus. It has always been a favorite of mine for that reason and because it has concrete parking lots instead of asphalt, pitched roof instead of flat and no damn swimming pool.

I think a dancer or ballerina. Nice one.
I think that will bring us up to date for now. We are going to south Florida next week so there will be a nifty new entry for everyone after that one.

BodyWorld
We've been to Body Worlds twice when it toured through Chicago. The first time seeing it was much more amazing than the second but it was still cool. They do a great job of displaying the bodies with dignity but making them interesting. It's not every day you get to see nerves! If anyone goes, pick a time when it's not busy (avoid weekends) as its difficult to spend time looking at interesting things when the crowd is pushing you along.
