To call Italy home feels like a dream come true. I walk in the streets, wondering if I could ever live in a foreign country for more than a few months. I question my durability to do so; but for now, I'm enjoying the extrinsic views of Rome. For the past 2 weeks (or so), I've visited most general tourist spots mentioned in your typical travel book. From Piazza d'Spagna to the Villa Borghese, its almost the same cobblestone road filled with gelato and cappuccino alike. I thought it was impossible to absorb all that is Rome, and though I'm still far from that with so much to capture and observe, the main 'for what it is known for' like the Vatican and the Coloseum, I've seen within a few days.

Outside of your 'educational' aspect of the trip, the nightlife is also as interesting. Though I have to admit most bars and alochol-containing places we've (my roommates and I) been to we're full of English-speaking people; the occasional and fashionable Italians share their presence with us.

I've decided I'm going to buy my wedding dress here. Yes, you heard it. Despite the fact that my dress would most likely cost more than the actual wedding itself, it's something to put out there. And after the wedding, Austria will be "our" honeymoon. Now, if it's only possible to work on the husband portion of the wedding, I'll be a step closer to that dress. 😊

Though it's only been 11 days I've been in Roma, it feels like a long time. I know there are still a millions things to do here and so much more to experience, but it also feels like I've been here for awhile. And its slowly accepting in my mind that this will be home for a few more months. I can't believe how far I've gotten and so happy of what there is still yet to come.

* Here is where I'd like to thank my Mom for her support on this trip, and for Dave and my other best friends who keep me merry and at peace. I am very happy to be here and blessed to have such an opportunity. It's only been about 2 weeks, and I can already see the changes in my life I acquire and hope to pursue on.

Expect daily (yet smaller) jots of my days here soon! Till then, Ciao!
