Lots of rain yesterday, lots of humidity today. Sitting inside a cool internet cafe sweating. Those of you freezing your butt off might envy that. I'm grateful for the warmth and still not used to the humidity.
Yesterday, we were able to coordinate a trip to the "holy knife" with Wayan and her driver Ketut. What an amazing experience that was for me. I watched him work on Wayan and then it was my turn. The sparkly eyes and chuckle when he found stuck energy was still there. So was the pain when he touched it to part of the body. This time, I knew the pain would pass quickly so I was chuckling along with him. Some spots were painfully tender. In a few moments, it faded and disappeared. His final touch had me feeling nothing.
Wayan said the energy jumps sometimes. It moves to a different part of the body. IF there is nothing wrong or nothing that needs fixing, you won't feel anything.
As soon as he started working with me, I felt amazing heat building inside me. It wasn't heat so much as energy. Hotter and hotter until it plateaued, it continued until he
finished. I sat in a chair, felt the energy settle in and a coolness moved through me.
With no way to effectively explain the experience with words, I can only say I felt very different after! The closest words describing how I felt would be calm, more aligned, peaceful mind, "one" body instead of separate parts doing their thing and full of smiles. I smiled all day, especially with my eyes.
When he worked on my friend Rori and Paulien, I was able to watch and see things I didn't notice last time in the dark. Paulien sat facing away from her. He held his hands up in her energy field, felt around a bit and then sat looking off into space. He squinted a little and his eyes defocuses a bit while he looked around her neck. He was looking for some sort of energy going on. Then, he chuckled and put his finger to it before bringing the holy knife to touch it.
When he was looking, it was as a person would be looking for something in the dark. Without enough light to see clearly, a person would defocus and work a little bit
to find the shape of what they were looking for. I have done that while hiking at night looking for the trail. In Guatemala, I remember hiking into the ruins around 5:00 and forgetting my flashlight. I defocused my eyes, let them adjust for a little while I gazed around, and suddenly the lightness of the trail separated itself from the dark vegetation around it. I was able to walk easily like that and felt very safe doing so (until I heard a growl in a tree immediately above me! I didn't know if it was a howler monkey or a jaguar. Either way, it they wanted to cause me harm, there was little I could do about it so I walked on.)
That's how he looked, gazing at or for something, suddenly finding it and then setting about healing it.
Last night at dinner, Rori said she felt like a different person after the healing. No words can describe it so come here and I'll help you find how to get there for your own experience.
Ubud has been wonderful for me. I'm leaving in a couple hours. This is the first place I have ever visited
that I felt I could come back to and stay for a while. I've visited lots of lovely places however they feel like places to visit for a while rather than places to experience. I could easily return to Ubud and stay here for a month or so doing a retreat, studying Silat with Mary and Daniel, doing some Yoga, continuing to explore healing and eating the wonderful food here. There are so many fantastic dining options and this would be heavenly to someone who is vegetarian!
I'm feeling like I'm leaving a lot of friends here and will have friends here when I return. I've met so many wonderful people, had great conversation and real connection and will carry all that with me when I leave.
Since I packed, I forgot to bring my little card reader with me. I'll add photo's here later of my friends with the "holy knive".
In a couple hours, I'll head to Sanur to see Mary Darling. Tomorrow morning is the coffee tour. I'm hoping to stay my final night in a place 1 minute walk from the beach in Legian, meet Susan for lunch on Wednesday, return to Jari
Menari for a massage at 3:00 and head to the airport later for my 8:00 flight. I'd say "flight home" but since it's another 36 hour adventure, I'll just refer to it as the flight adventure: Bali to Singapore to Moscow to Houston to Denver.
Ciao for now...Larry
