Science Musuem
one of the first Locomotion engines Really this should be dated Jan20, 21, and 22. Because I really need to finish catching up on this blog!!!
Friday---For my History Class, we went to the Science and Technology Museum. And even though it is not my forte, it was interesting. It was a place that I think my Dad would absolutely fall in love with and enjoy. There were many cool things. Most of the exhibits shown, dealt a lot with innovation and the development of old technology into what we use today. There was an original locomotion engine there, A Model T, a Rolls Royce Engine, among other things. We were to go around and look at a certain area of innovation and chart it's changes from the industrial revolution until today. The group that I was in was me and Krogman, and then Erin and Amanda from Marist. We chose Agriculture, because orininally we wanted to do photography and cinematography (sp?), but exhibit was closed for the day and agriculture was located on the same floor...it was kind of interesting to see that from the early nineteenth century people were still using people powered plows to today with tractors and the implementation of computer technology
to those items.
When we got done, Jacqueline and I went forward with planning what to do for break...I really want to go to the Olympics! We'll see what happens.
Then I went down to City Hall to look at the Moscow Photography Exhibition. It was really interesting but all the captions were in Russian, so that kind of sucked...But I got some good pictures of Tower Bridge and bought an authentic Toffee Apple. and that was pretty good. But, some of you will be amazed to hear this, but I walked across the Tower Bridge!!! I was scared shitless, but I did it!!! But it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, because there is more room for walking/running on the bridge than there is for driving. But I walked across it! I have the pictures to prove it!
Then, I got back and we got dressed to go to Tiger, Tiger. When we got there, we learned a lot about this kind of club scene. 1. Must be very dressed up, FORMAL! Men must have collared shirts and ties and blazers....2. Every guy must go to the club with a girl. They

do not let "single" men in. 3. Drinks=Expensive! A margarita in a tumbler glass cost 12 American dollars!!! 4. You MUST be 21 to get in, they actually card!!!! (unless you get there before 9 pm) I felt like I was at some celebrity club in LA or NYC...and I felt very dressed down in my outfit of my fancy dark jeans, and blazer set....
Saturday---we got up very early because we wanted to see the changing of the guard, but we went to the wrong place and were not at the right guard post. But we looked through guide books and just walked around the area, took pictures of Big Ben and Parliament. I saw one of the London Ducks and yes, I will be riding on them as soon as I get my quackers and postcards to give the drivers!!! We also stumbled upon a grade school memorial parade. It was pretty cool, because some of the students were playing bagpipes and drums. and they all were wearing Tartan pants/Skirts. We walked by Downing Street, but it was completely shut off to the public...and there were many police officers. Next, we stumbled upon some random, but
probably not, guards at an entrance to a park. And I took a picture next to one. I asked him if it was alright and he nodded...I didn't know they could do that! I felt like putting my arm around him, like we were long lost friends! But, I restrained myself!!! Hahaha, I wonder what his expression would have been!
Then, we walked around looking at souvenir shops and what not and went back to Metrogate. We all took a nap because we had little sleep the night before and then walked around for 4 hours!!!
When I woke up I made dinner, it was some garlic and herb rice!!! Rice for a change from pasta and it was delicious!
Then, everyone kind of just moped around, being like, what do we do tonight, there is so much to choose from!!! It is always hard to decide!!!
Eventually, I just went to Queen Anne's and has some Fruli!!!
Came home around Midnight and went to bed.
Sunday----I got up early, because I wanted to go to Church here and there is a church nearby. However, I didn't know what time the services were, so I tried
to look it up online last night and couldn't find it. So, I figured 930 would be good, because I knew their later service was 11, but it was solemn and I didn't know what that meant, so I figured, I would just go then and well, their early service was 9. and their 11 was canceled for some reason today....well, I tried! so, then, I treated myself to breakfast at Cafe Deco and had a chocolate croissant and fruit and COFFEE! And then I came back to Metrogate and saw that there was another school moving in today from Oregon. But then for the last two hours I have been updating my journal and blog, So I hope you find this all wonderful and helpful. I think I may go out exploring later, because I need to get some reading done. But before that I have a lot of cleaning and stuff to do because tomorrow the Head of Facilities is coming to check out Metrogate and he will randomly choose one room per floor to look at, so we are to be sure that everything is neat and put away...and let's be serious, I'm not really the neatest
person. I think I will go for a run and do my readings for my classes, because I have quite an extensive array of events to go to, places to see and what not this week!!! So stay tuned!!!!
