Edit Blog Post

Ok so that last blog was way to boring. I'm going to begin to tell you what I saw and thought of everything that I did on the first blog. First of all the Melbourne Campus is beautiful along with the city of course. There are so many trees everywhere. You just walk down the streets of downtown and there are trees all along the roads infront of the skyscrapers. Its amazing. As far as queen victoria market...its huge. The corn in cup was kinda different. Also there was a huge line to get a caricature. I don't know if they don't have these in other countries but I wouldn't be wasting my time in line trying to get one. As far as Fed square and the Yarra river. Its beautiful. Everything here seems so natural. And I still have yet to see a gas station and I've been all over the city.
One of really interesting thing about the city is how the little alleys have so much going on in them. There are so many little restaurants and bars down the alleys. Also people are sitting outside eating in these alleys. When you on either side of you is the outside brick of sides of buildings. Its just so different. The people are very fashionable. Everyone has their own style, which I enjoy and is very different from the US. Something else I noticed is that everyone that is out in the bar seems to smoke. I couldnt get over it. Maybe I've just gotten so used to no smoking in the bars that now it really makes you realize how many people smoke. I also learned a new stat...Australians are more obsese than Americans. I don't see it so far but apparently thats the statistic. I think this concludes my first day of travel. Look soon for another update on my trip!!

Your blog is so interesting! I'd love to see Australia some day! Your descriptions remind me a lot of my trip to Sweden, natural and beautiful and hardly any gas stations. Good luck with your internshp, I'll be reading once in a while!
