The 160 pass
Here is the view on the drive from Pahrump to Las Vegas Oops, it turns out Marilyn had a few pictures on her camera that we needed to add to the blog. Just in case there are a few of you that refuse to believe(Ron) that it wasn't that cold, here is the proof.
We arrived in Las Vegas the day it snowed like crazy! The flakes were big and beautiful - but it caused hours of traffic delays with the commuters and the air travelers. Jeff was glad he was traveling in an RV.
Some of our tennis friends from GE came to Vegas for the weekend to celebrate some birthdays and we had fun! We saw " Zumanity" on Saturday and had brunch at the Mirage on Sunday, which was really good! Too many choices ! Some won some $$ on the slots, while others' lost at the tables. And so it goes......I had never seen dolphins up close before, so it was amazing to see them at the Mirage in their special habitat. They are so beautiful and with their eyes, them seem almost human. They had a 7 month old born there and he was zipping around just like a kid. Jeff got a couple good
Oasis RV Resort
Here is how hard it snowed in LAS. pics of them. As nice as it was to see them there, I suspect they would rather be swimming in south Florida, and you wonder if they are sad to be there.
We had a long day of travel yesterday and are about 10 miles from Carlsbad caverns now. It is sunny and clear today, but we sure have had some COLD weather. It was about 450 miles yesterday but very scenic along the hwy 62 from El Paso to Carlsbad. I am adding one more picture of Guadalupe Mountain that we took from the RV on the drive by it. Pretty spectacular. We are now at the Carlsbad RV park.
