Here we are, landed in the middle of the 'jungle' yesterday. Got here to admire waterfalls and Tucans. While there's abundance of the first one, Tucans are a bit harder to spot. We did manage to see few of them though!
The weather is also holding, despite the forecast for the storm.

Today we've visited Argentinian side of the national park. Really, really nice! The view left us more than once breathless. What a place!
We walked all the trails, some even twice and we spottend Tucans and Coaties (Coati is funny little racoon type of a creature). There were loads of butterflies too and another ginea-pig like creature that we didn't identify yet, but could as well be the local rat (without tail though). While spotting the animals, we also spotted a species of homo sapiens of its own and by doing so we also did our good deed for the day. In fact while walking on one of the less travelled paths we heard someone desperately yelling: "Hola, aiudad por favor!" We thought it was a joke because, let's face it, who is so stupid to wander off the path into the jungle. But after about 5 minutes the voice continued yelling more desperately. Now we doubted. So we consulted with a Spanish couple walking behind us. We yelled back. And yes, someone was naive enough to walk into the jungle to look for Tucans! By following our voices (in a kind of dramatic way) the lady came out of the forest with her legs totally scratched and her hair looking like she spent months in there. Incredibely gratefull she thanked us for saving her life...
So on that particular path we didn't see any Tucans or Coaties but we did fish out some strange little French lady.

But back to the Iguazu. We also checked out the famous Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat fall). That was a sight of it's own. We inevitabely got wet here, so much water is in the air! To shortly describe this waterfall they use the little story of the flat earth. When people believed that the earth was flat, this is probably how they imagined the end of it. We can totally get that. Because of the sheer massa of water stumbeling and the mist it creates when over the edge - one just can't see (or imagine)

Devil's throath
the bottom of it all!

Tomorrow we plan to go to Brazil to check the other side too. And if we then still have some time left, we'll come here again. Just because it's beautiful and we can't get enough of it! 😊

I remembered
Hey Eveline, when we entered the park I remembered the story of your encounter with a Coati :-) So we were prepared. Which was good because he came out of trees quite suddenly! :-)
