Singapore Airlines A380 Airbus
This was taken on arrival at Singapore Changi Airport. This is the new Airbus which looks like a Beluga Whale! It was a pretty good aeroplane.Hi all, its 1.58 am British Time, and we got to the Marina Mandarin Hotel about 20 minutes ago, so door to door from Romsey was 19 1/2 Hours.
The flight was good, the Airbus A380 was just fantastic, I believe Singapore Airlines was the first airline in the world to take delivery of such a beast, and now they have 6 in the fleet.
Compared to 747 (Jumbo) is just looks larger, a 747 can seat 375, and the 380 can seat 471, in the configuration, of economy, Business, and Premier (Suites), though overall it is advertised that it is capable of seating 800 people.
The cabin crew are beautifly dressed in a type of Sarong and the food was excellent, with proper cutlery which was nice.
When we got off the plane, it was 27 Degree's and lovely and sunny, really shorts and tee shirt weather, (HOW WE LAUGHED) once we collected our backage, we had to go to the Singapore stopover desk where our transportaion to the hotel had been organised, and we had to wait for it
It just stuns me how clean and pristine Singapore Airport is, with absolutly no rubbish and lots of operatives moving the huge extenses of lawns and bushes all the way in to the city, grafitti seems to be no exsitant.
When we arrived at the Marina Mandarin, we were shattered, Our suite 606, stangly on the 6th floor is lovely and when I have finished this we are going to get some sleep, and then get in to a Asia sleeping pattern tonight.
We have sorted internet access out, and I had to restrain Caroline from emptying the mini bar, 30 seconds on entering our room.
Singapore is 8 Hours in from of the UK and we will be happy to Skype later on once we have got somes Zzzzzzzzzz'S.

i don't want to hear mention of sun, tee shirts, shorts or sea - I can see rain and grey and can only hear rugby on the tv and my children bickering xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
