Wow, what can I say about this night! It was absolutely crazy! My friend Eoin flew down from Dublin a few days before to celebrate ¨La Noche Vieja¨with me. We headed to my friend Ed´s house first for some yummy food and then headed down to Puerta del Sol (the city center) for the midnight count down. Actually, they don´t do a count down in Spain. At midnight there are a bunch of fireworks and the church bells toll 12 times. Everyone eats 12 grapes and drinks cider. If you eat the grapes you are meant to have 12 months of prosperity for the year to come. Happy New Year in Spanish is ¨Feliz Año Nuevo¨. Eoin took every chance he could get to say this to the pretty shop clerks and of course it was well recieved 😊. Anyway, check out the photos...
