This New Year

To all of our loved ones, please know that we think of you all often.
As I sit here in.. wait where am I?.... Kohu kohu this town calls itself.... oh boy, what a long strange trip.....
It's hard to believe that we've been on the road for six weeks already! I can't say that the time has whizzed by, but it's definately movin' and grovin'. New Zealand is definately taking it's own nice cozy space in my heart. Traveling thus far has been such a... breath of fresh air. It seems that every time we hit some sort of bump in the road, some one or something is there to help us shine on. I suppose that's the way that the world works... it you let it... but I spend so much time caught up in the hecticness of "life" that I forget...

So what have we been up to? Well, we managed to find our way onto a sail boat on Lake Taupo, Benji is one step closer to being fully vaccinated for Heppatitus, and we made our way up to the Most northern part of the Island.
We came here to WWOOF, but that didn't work out as we hoped, so we settled into this great little backpackers called the Tree House. We're doing work-trade so our accomidation is free, and we're enjoying being... in one place for a few days.
We spent New Years on the Northern Penninsula near Cape Reinga and learned that Kiwis party HARD at camp grounds for New Years. We traveled to the giant Sand Dunes to go sand boarding (a tourist event well worth partaking in) and now we're chillin' out until we go to the bay of Islands for Benji's Birthday. (we're booked on a three day eco-sailing adventure... yahoo!)
I'm sure Benji's going to want to add some details in a day or so (and possibly some pictures as well) so stay tuned.
