Great day for training

Today was a GREAT training day! We got a lot done. I hope every day from now on is like today! I will try to remember to take some pictures of my new team.

I was going to take some pictures of the crazy traffic on my way home tonight, but my camera went dead. I will put new batteries in and make sure to take some pictures tomorrow. Today would have been the greatest day for pictures! It was pouring rain and we passed a couple of bad accidents. Nangy pointed out one car that was totally smashed and said “now that’s a good car, you see, where the people are - the car isn’t bent”. Plus, I wanted to take a picture of the motorcyclists who had their helmets on today - its because they didn’t want the rain to get their heads wet. Pretty funny. I hear there is a hurricane near by. No one here thinks its going to hit the DR. I hope not.

Tomorrow I was going to go apartment hunting, but the realtor just called my room and changed it to Saturday. She found one more apartment that is having new furniture delivered this week and Saturday it will be ready to show. So it looks like I will be apartment hunting on Saturday. I’m going to have my driver also show me around Santo Domingo. I’ll take a bunch of pictures and post some.

Well, I’ll type some more tomorrow. I miss everyone very much, but it is nice here. I feel very welcome here. Plus, I have a great group that I am working with.
