So our time in Australia is coming to a rapid close (30 min to airport). Such a nice time. After cairns we headed south to Sydney where we performed the obligatory and quite fun Opera house tour. Then a few ferry rides and a trip to the aquarium where everything was "when we were on the Great Barrier Reef" type of comments. So I think the rest of our group rather tired of that. But we enjoyed a bragging. We also caught up with Aneta's sister Anna for a few days of touring and beach going. Aneta took a speed boat ride which she described as a motorcycle on water. Then onto Melbourne and some holiday cheer with Charles and Sirie and Athena. Special "Made us Uber-welcome" commendation for the whole Woodhouse clan as we got some much needed R&R. Day after day of chilling in the house and nightly poker or phase 10. As I suspected phase 10 is poison for any couple. We will take our cardw with us and hope they don't sell this game in Australia. We also had a nice road trip along the great ocean road (Aussie PCH) to the twelve apostles which are spectacular
rock formations jutting out of the ocean. Ironcially it's down to 11 or something since one just fell into the ocean like a month ago. See picture. Note that pile of rubble in the foreground used to be upright pillar. Another special note for Chuck who drove back and forth for 11 of the 29 total hours of the day trip camping. Check out the picts of Charles and Jon tearing up the grill and the ladies in the car. Not pictured are the dozen or so koala bears that live in trees around the campsite. Today we leave for Thailand and will meet up with the Winters for a NYE celebration yet to be determined and probably a little more underwater exploration.
