My first blog! Woohoo! I figure I can send emails or keep my blog updated and I signed up for the blog so I might as well use it!
I went to the Windsor Castle, the official residence of the queen. It was AMAZING. The actual town of Windsor is so cute. It’s right on the Thames and its all cobblestone streets and shops with short doorways. The castle was unbelievable. On the walk up we stopped in a chocolate shop that had coffee and I would describe it as “heaven in a cup”. It was like liquid chocolate with caffeine in there somewhere 
Inside the castle we went into St. George Cathedral and its where all the previous royals are buried. It’s also where all the knights have their “official seat” and each seat is decorated with their crest and helmet and whatever else that make them important. We had a little telephone thing that you listen to when you see a number and it tells you all the stories behind the different areas.
The state apartments, where the important people actually live, we just as insane. I mean usually when you go to a museum or something you can see how people used to live, this was still being used. I can’t even begin to describe how it was on the inside. There was a room where a table that fit 160 people could be used and when they set the table they measure everything with a ruler. There was a table made out of complete silver and a DOLLHOUSE with electricity and actual running plumbing! There were paintings by all the famous artists and they were just hanging in someone’s home…someone’s home that happened to be surrounded by a wall over 500 years old and guarded by men in furry caps. We actually got a picture with one of the guards…if I were him I would hate my life pretty much. People running up and taking silly pictures right next to you and not being allowed to do anything about it. What’s cool though is the queen was actually in the castle while we were there. The flag was flying. When I went to Buckingham palace the queen was there too…. I think that’s a sign she wants to meet me.
Sidenote…my charger for my computer broke so until I buy a new one I won’t be able to upload any pictures but pictures are coming, I promise.
