Hi!

Well I've been in Barcelona for just over a week and loving every minute of it!
The city is great. I really love the atmosphere, it's very chilled, and definately a coffee shop culture! (my way of thinking!!)

My stomach is still getting used to the very late eating but it's enjoying the bonus snacks I'm feeding it so all is good and well!

On the first day we headed around the old city just wandering around the streets, to the cathedral, along all the back alleys and then on down to the port vell and the beach area which was gorgeous. We really wanted to get an idea of the city and find our feet after a rather late night out the night we arrived!!! With wine at the hostel at 1 euro a glass it was a little tempting!!

Ended up going to a boat on the harbour for tapas and wine (it is actually cheaper that water here!!! or coke for that matter!!)

On Friday we headed around on a Gaudi day. We headed first to the Casa Batllo - def one of my favorite places. The rooms were incredible and then the roof top out of this world!
Then on to see the Casa de les Punxes - only a photo of the outside!
Down to see where my new school will be - very close to the town center only about 10 minutes walk to Place do Catalunya.

On over then to the Sagra Familia - although great and well worth a visit we didn't get up the towers - a 2 1/2 hour wait was not what we fancied!! The building work will be great to see finished in comparison to even how it is now!

Finally we headed up to the Parc du Guell - the views over the city were great and the parc is beautiful definately somewhere I will return with some work, book and lots more time!!

On Saturday we headed up to Montjuic park, overlooking the bay. The views were gorgeous, especially from on top of the castle. We then headed down and to the olympic stadium and sat and watched a singer outside one of the museums.
In the evening we headed out to a flamenco bar and then on to the magic fountain - it was gorgeous music and lights, just like the bellagio fountain in Vegas only with spanish style!

ON SUnday I headed to my new place after some coffee shop time! I'm living in a room in an attic apartment which is really cool, met some of my course friends and since have been studying, studying and more studying!! haha!!

Hope your all well!!

Love to you all

Cer xxx
