We set off from Cluj at nine, which meant I had time for a shower, despite the late night last night. It feels very nice to have clean hair after all the days of dodgy showers and/or it being too cold to go to bed (or anywhere really) with wet hair.

We stopped in a pretty town called Sighisoara, in which we saw the beginnings of the Dracula franchise, which is really exciting, too me anyway. There were mugs of Dracula's head, a restaraunt named after Dracula, Dracula T-shirts... you name it. And also rings with Winnie the Pooh on them, which disproves the assertion that souvenir shops all sell the same stuff.

After lunch we drove to Brasov, passing through a forest that was almost a jungle and very, very beautiful. Our hotel is lovely, although I can't spell it at the moment. It's the big green one that's actually two in the same building and which has flags around the door.

It's a very pretty town and the weather is suitably omnious to preculde a trip to Dracula's castle.
