Yo! Sushi!Yo! Sushi!Yo! Sushi!

Coming to a table nearest you.
The beginning of the weekend was pretty uneventful. After the fire alarms this lull was almost welcomed. On Thursday night I tried to call Spencer but then I remembered he was probably at rehearsal. So I came up with this brilliant plan to call there. I was amazed I still remembered Edgewood's phone number. Maybe because I had it on a pen so I stared at it all through economics. I'm glad I called because I got to talk to almost everyone in one shot. I really miss rinky dinky Merritt Island, and I am very jealous of Casey and his ability to pop back every now and then.

Thursday night we were supposed to go out but we ended up just all going to hang out in one of the flat's downstairs. Those were some of the best muffins let me tell you. That was kind of relaxing and pretty uneventful as well. Though I ended up staying up untill 4 in the morning, good thing I didn't have class the next day.

I slept for a good chunk of Friday, did the dishes... which took me forever! And then went to the tea that is hosted almost

every friday by the GC's. It's free so I made lunch out of that. They were showing pictures from Brighton on screen and we all hung out there for about an hour. When I got back to the flat I started packing to head back to Reading this weekend. I'm quite impressed with my ability to travel by myself. I knew which tubes to take, and which train. I'm the London transport extordinaire. I applied for a student rail card which will give me 1/3 off of all my train tickets, but I needed passport photos for this. So I had to go to one of those booths in the station and lucky me it only took coins. I counted up all my change and I was 15p short. I asked the man outside the booth if had 15p to spare and he said he was going to ask me the same thing. But he ended up giving me the change and then went to go break a bill. I thought that was really nice and I felt a little bad. I ran into him several times after that becasue he was applying for a railcard too. So everytime I

saw him I reminded him how grateful I was.

The train ride was great because it was my first one that I was able to get a seat. We passed through Madienhead which I must remember to go back to because it looked absolutely gorgeous. I called Casey for a bit from the train but then my phone died. So if you are reading this Casey, that is what happened! I arrived at about 6:30 so Chris met me in town to go have dinner. We went a place called Yo! Sushi! Man I wish we had those in America. You sit in your little table and this conveor belt brings these little dishes past you and you grab what ever you want. Each colour plate means a different price. At the end of the meal the count up your plates and give you the bill. It sure is easy to rack something up at this place though. We got thses little pancakes with raspberries for dessert and I was so excited because it was the closest thing to an american pancake that I will ever get here.

After dinner we went to Asda, which is the British Wal-Mart, they even have roll back prices! While we were in the toy aisle I noticed that very loud dramatic psycho was playing. I was getting really confused as to why a store would be playing that music. It was complete with screams and everything. After much confusion and contemplation as to why they would be playing it, we found we were next door to the Halloween aisle. I didn't think they celebrated Halloween here, but I guess it is catching on, though it is still not that big of a deal. Chris made several attempts to scare me with loud button pushing devices, but I am getting better.

A week until my birthday.

Yes, because being abducted on a train is a common British past time.
