San Diego Zoo

We went to the Zoo today. There were lots anad lots of animals to look at. Here are pictures of a few of them. The tram ride over the park was fun and gave us another view of San Diego.

Tomorrow we're traveling by train and bus to Merced then on to Yosemite and such.

This bear had a canvas or burlap bag or blanket that he war ripping up and putting over his head. We watched him for quite a while. He was very entertaining.

Love it
WOW, what fun, what a trip, love it. Your pictures and descriptions are wonderful. Almost makes me wanna grab Rob and catch a train to the West Coast ...... Pictures from Crater Lake were BEAUTIFUL. Another reason to travel by train, CHAMPAGNE ! Well, hope the rest of your trip goes as planned. We always knew computers suck! ENJOY !! This is great, thanks for taking us along with you.

Train travel
Robin, I'm not sure I'd ever do that much train traveling in one jaunt again. It was a great way to see the country but kinda but numbing! We did great til that last trip home, then we were probably kinda tired and ready to be home. I woke up Wednesday morning in Cleveland right outside the Brown's stadium. That was the best up top sleeping berth I'd been in. It had its own window! Less coffin-like. Now if I can only get my luggage back! They sent it to Boston via NYC. Hopefully it'll be in Portland today (Friday)
