Evening on the beachEvening on the beachEvening on the beach

The bar comes to you on the beach, sweet.
Natal, the city of sun!!
The sun shines here for 360 days a year and guess what days we arrived in. Exactly, we had a beautiful beach day on the first day and also on our last day. We were also the first foreign people to ever experience such torrential rain in Natal (lol). This was serious rain, it caused the city centre to flood and basically everywhere closed down. It rained solidly for 24 hours, so our beautiful room with its ocean view was really not that much use to us lol.
Although, if you have more luck than us, then we would recommend this hotel, The Hotel Nautilus. We happened to be the only three guests in the Hotel but still that didn't make a difference really, we just had to talk to each other a lot more, lol!!

The beaches in Natal are really great, sand dunes fill the beaches, along with great walks that light up perfectly between all the palm trees by night. There are plenty of great places to eat, likes kevs favourite churrascaria in all of Brazil(Now that's saying something). This is where the waiter will continuously arrived at your table with meat cooked on a spit and will not stop serving you until you say ¨no obrigado¨, or else you will explode.
As it was cloudy and we could not go to the beach, we did pay a visit to the shopping centres. They were many and we did post a parcel from a post office (6 weeks) in one of the malls and it still has not arrived to its destination yet :-(!
One of the street away from the beach the locals like to booze and also to Samba.
Its possible also to to take a trip in a sand buggy, where a driver of the buggy will drive crazy through all the sand dunes for an hour or so but its not that ecological friendly.
Also, Natal is the place where we had to depart from our translator, sorry Ms. Clare Neylon. But on a brighter note we shall be reuniting in Ozzie land , yeaaa!!!
Would we visit Natal again in the sunny season?, absolutely, on both sunny days we did have, we got chairs and a umbrella, and also we did not have to move for our caipirinhas (that's always a bonus for us lol)!
