Bangkok
Bangkok is hot! Luckily we have found a cheap hotel that has a sweet as pool on the roof and is really central. We liked it so much we decided to stay another day and head to the beach on monday instead. I'm loving that we can just make decisions like that!
So we said goodbye to the people on our trip, it was very sad and I'm going to miss them loads. Now I'm stuck with Steve! One of the guys is gonna head to the beach with us for a week so we wont be on our own.
We had a good final night where we all went bowling, which was lots of fun. Me and Steve were the losers though we were rubbish.
After a morning spent sorting out Steve's glasses at the opticians we went on a boat trip around the city. Not very exciting except that there were some monitor lizards which were huge and looked like crocodiles.
Yesterday was a lie in with a hangover then a trip to the Royal Palace. This was amazing. Its so colourful and shiny! It was ridiculously hot though but well worth sweltering for.
I left the boys

Bowling on our last night with the gap tour group.
We are such geeks! to it last night and headed off with the girls to watch Sex and the City and the swankiest cinema I've ever been to. I loved the film and cried loads (I'm such a girl I know). The weird thing was that they censored all the rude bits. For a city like Bangkok I didn't realise they were so sensitive. Also at the start of the film you have to stand for the national anthem. The king is a big deal over here.
After I went to meet the boys in a bar called Gullivers on the koh san road. Dont know if I'm getting old but I found the place a bit tragic. Bad music, bad beers and just a massive meat market. We then found a little bar which was cool, the music started off as just hip hop but then they threw in a bit of Coldplay, as you do.
Its too hot to do anything today so we're just gonna chill out by the pool. Off to Ko Samet tomorrow.
Until next time
