ko samet/my bday

it was my birthday yesterday and it was pretty awesomes.
the day started off as usual, woke up at 6am did some exercises, then went back to bed because i stayed up the night before waiting until i was 19. well didnt go to bed until 2am so only had 4 hours sleep.

got some breakfast, then went banana boating which i had never done before. was a good laugh and more difficult than it looks! it costed about 3 pound for half an hour which was well good - no doubt were going to do that again soon.

so the plan for the rest of the day was to go quad biking around the island, but we have decided that we are going to that tomorrow instead - we actually ended up renting some scooters and went around the island that way (dont worry parents, it was pretty safe the islands practically dead road wise apart from the other tourists and the odd oil tanker). it was a good laugh but i think i prefer quad bikes as they have 4 wheels and are easier to drive.

so then came the evening, and it seemed to take ben forever to get ready for our changed theme of 'james bond in hawaii and bond girls'. ko samet apparently doesnt have any suit shops so there we were in our checkered billabong shorts and shirts. ben was taking ages to get ready as he kept 'losing things', what it turned out to be was that all the guys had planned a suprise party and it was a case of getting them to the restaurant before me. needless to say it worked since ben was being a muppet, and i was still none the wiser as to what was going on, so it was pretty well done.
infact i dont know what was up with me we were at the restaurant at lunch time and one of the staff there practically blew a baloon up in my face which i failed to see, and i walked past the same restaurant when all the baloons were tied up to the ceiling ready for the party.

so yes i was suprised when everyone said suprise for my suprise party at the suprise party location. lots of drinking ensued, and then i got blindfolded and received a dance from two of the other guys. i think they enjoyed it as much as i did.

we then went to a club which was seedy to say the least, but didnt matter too much since we were all in there. i went to bed about 2 (lightweight, i know) and today we have just gone for a boat trip which was nice.

no drinkies tonight - gonna go for a swim this evening in the sea - apprently theres this crazy plankton that lights up around you at night, so looking forward to that.

Hi jon, its friday afternoon and mum is here with me as she has had Eliza today. She has just come back from her weeks holiday so has just read all your entrys and im helping her reply to you. It looks like you are having a great time (mum said "oh look at all the girls with him"). That was lovely what they did for your birthday, you must have made some good friends. It can't be long till you are off on your own now, have you made any plans yet? Oh, mum has just said you are off diving and says good luck. Well take care and lots of love from all us x x
