Railay East, the beach was on the other side this was just full of mangroves
Hello everyone.

Well we left Ko Phi Phi on sunday headed for Railay which is on the mainland but the only access is via long tail boat from Krabi, Ao Nang or a mixture of normal boat and long tail from Ko Phi Phi. So the long tail boat man comes out and meets you 5 mins from and shore and you get transported on that then he just suddenly stops a good few hundred metres from shore and out you hop to wade to shore with water up to your thighs trying to balance your rucksack it was hilarious needless to say we made it mostly dry! So next task was to find a room, in Thailand you are usually bombarded as soon as you step foot from the boat/bus with places to stay but there was zilch in Railay. Now this is probably because it is mainly 5 star resorts here, so we thought we would go in search and we found the Yah Yah Resort and got a room for a pretty good price. Even if after our luxury in Phi Phi we now had no flush on the toilet and the worst bathroom ever!! Its very

He just loves the pretty cocktails!
low season this now so everywhere is pretty quiet and you can usually get a good price for rooms etc.

That night we went over Railay West and watched the sunset and had dinner and oh my god Martyn found a cocktail list, he just cant resist them! So needless to say that set the tone for the rest of the night and we went to every bar we could find (about 4 all tog!!) Had a great night lounging back being chilled out with our changs! Oh and we cant get enough of the Thai street pancakes you get for like 50p yummy banana and chocolate with condensed milk on top they are great!

Next day we headed straight for the beach and there we stayed until some very dark looking clouds started to come our way it was crazy the rain just started belting down and we got very wet running back to the hotel, but it meant we could go back to bed for a nap and I would'nt feel bad I was wasting sunshine!

We decided just to stay for 2 nights and to head to Krabi for a night before we head

up to Ko Samui and the rest of the islands, so the next morning we tried in vain to get a long boat driver to take us there. Seemingly he needed 10 people first haha I doubt there was 10 people going to be checking out in one day but he said if not we would need to pay for the whole boat to go - for 20 pounds!! We were like eh no way so we went round the other side and decided we would go to Ao Nang instead which is really next door to Krabi anyway. Same story round there but we got lucky and 2 swedish girls were wanting to go aswell so we didnt have to pay quite so much but they certainly got money out of us!! So then we had to get a taxi to Krabi with a driver that neither spoke 1 word of english or seemed to know where he was driving, but alas we made it to Hotel Lomo and its lovely and very cheap and has a small pool shame we only here for 1 night!!

So we are leaving tomorrow at 9am to get the bus to
