Barcelona, Spain
We now have the train system down...I hope. The weather is much more pleasant and we are off to walk the La Rambla in Barcelona; a lovely tree lined street in the middle of the city. Today is the Marathon here in Barcelona, and many streets are closed. We walked down the La Rambla... a famous pedestrian street in Barcelona, with venders and mimes. Greetings to our Rambler's in Pittsburgh that we hike with... couldn't help think of you all as we walked this tree lined street.
The cable car was our next destination, it goes over the city and the seaport. Nothing great...too costly and just OK. Using the guide book Bob found a restaurant that we hunted and hunted for ...it is closed on Sundays. We found another restaurant.... Can Culleretes, mentioned in another guide book,,... it was a disappointment. Not only was the food not great, but they tried to over-charge us.. The bill said $39 Euros and the credit card receipt said $49 Euros! We questioned the waitress and she corrected the error, with no apology. We returned home and tried to go to the Mediterranean Sea for a dip, but it
was too cold.
Guess you can say Barcelona was not our favorite place. We leave Spain tomorrow, Enough!

Barcelona and Spain
Wrote twice about our trip and it disappeared. Did you get it? Enjoying your pictures. Some are better than ours. Did you see the man on the toilet on the Ramblas? We put some money in his pot. We enjoyed Barcelona. Will send again if you didn't get it. Eileen
