Thursday started out like every other day. Get up, turn on cheezy Auckland morning news programme (no I don't have Sky any more, which means no Fox News ;-( , breakfast cearel, the three s's, brush teeth and out the door. Work was even less eventful. Until...... I got home and Marcos and I started talking about diving with Humpback Whales. The only place that a person can legally swim with the whales is Tonga and it just so happened that we could lock in incredible airfares to Tonga (south pacific island) from Auckland in August. I'd never considered Tonga as a travel destination and only knew that swimming with whales bit of trivia. Well needless to say without a plan and not a lick of knowledge of Tonga we booked flights to Tonga for a seven night eight day adventure. What I've managed to learn is thatTonga is one of the least developed group of islands in the south pacific. This should be an excellent adventure and I'll take lots of photos.... that is if the wild packs of dogs don't chew me up one night.
Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge of Tonga? All suggestions greatly appreciated.
We just wrapped up a great planning session for our 48 hour film festival. What ever happens two weeks from now I'm certain we're gonna have a hell of a good time. I wish some of you were here to go to the live screening. We'll get the video posted here or on youtube. All equipment that we need is in hand, the biggest worry will be costumes and promps which can't be fully planned out until that Friday night when we prepare the script.
