Josie and the pussycats :) It feels like about 3 years ago since we were in Langkawi because we've been on a mad one travelling our hearts out!
We were really sad to leave Ko Lipe because again we spent nearly 10 nights there and got to know alot of the local people. We got to quite enjoy the nightly euphoric candlelit rave dinners and the ladyboys who all fancied Nick haha. Lipe is so beautiful and unspoilt by over-development. You have to blink when you're on the beach to check that it is real 😊 a proper little Shangri-La. Had a really good night at the Reggae bar chatting to the 2 blokes that owned it and a Swedish and an Italian guy. The conversation got on to all things spiritual and the owner was telling us about the spirit tree that is 100m behind the bar that 'The locals are very scary of' haha. He even took us there the next day! As most people who know Holly will know that this her favourite subject and we ended up leaving at about 5.30 in the morning after hearing his amazing life story and drinking his made up cocktail which we named 'thinking about

Reggae Bar in Lipe. Hand built by the owner! the next drink drink' (black russians with coconut milk) and singing his versions of Bob Marley tunes such as 'No woman no cry, No whiskey no die'. Great night!
We seem to keep finding spiritual books everywhere randomly and getting into conversations with everyone we meet about the afterlife etc. Has been really quite strange 😊 but nice nonetheless. And Nick saw a beautiful white owl flying over the beach at sunset lastnight (really random..) that made him think of his Gran as she loved owls x.
Anyway.. On what SHOULD have been our last night in Ko Lipe we had a bit of an incident.... A cat decided to have kittens in Hollys bloody bag! And she didn't just have like 4 or 5 like any normal cat would. She popped out 9 of the little bundles! It all happens to Holly doesn't it! We had to stay another day or so just to keep the mother well fed up so that the kittens had the best possible start. Unfortunately one of them died but the rest were really healthy. We left them with a lovely Thai lady who works at the hotel and then when she leaves

Heart of flowers a little girl made on the beach. Ko Lipe the island next week she will give them to the monks in the village to care for and email us to let us know they're ok. Absolutely broke my heart to leave them. When I went to say goodbye to them she looked right into my eyes (Holly) and wrapped her paws around my arm letting me stroke her kittens. Such a gorgeous cat. It is so sad that they don't have a proper home but I did everything I could. We named them Josie and the pussycats 😊 hehe geeeeks. (as we write this Nick has just been pooed on by a bird for the 4th time on this trip. The worst being the eagle poo in Langkawi haha)
So we spent a night in Trang city getting some stuff sorted like posting things etc then travelled over to a tiny remote island called Ko Bulon Leh that the lonely planet described as the 'jewel of the Andaman sea' and 'like something out of a Salvidor Dali dream'. Right then... thus backing up our statement that the Lonely Planet is 'full of shit'. This place had NO clear sea and a beach full of rocks that smelled like

This proves our theory that Thai people can sleep literally ANYWHERE! sulphur. And Holly got stung by a jellyfish then spent the whole day we were there throwing up after eating some dodgy noodles. Bit of a disaster...
from that tip of an island we travelled to Ko Kradan which really WAS a gem. Absolutely utterley deserted with only one Eco-Friendly resort. Powdery white sand and the clearest sea possible. It was so gorgeous but unfortunately the weather wasn't great on the last day or so. While we were there we did some Sea Kayaking and Holly sat in the sea with some bread and had tropical fish eat out of her hand 😊 was incredible!!
So we then travelled to where we are now which is Ko Lanta! The land of crazy dogs and fluffy thong donning fat western men. (the only things who appear to be silly enough to be out in the midday heat).
Travelled here in a cramped minivan with an anonymous disgusting person whom we nicknamed 'Mr Silent but violent'. Say no more. And passing a hedge on the way which had been shaped into Spongebob Squarepants causing about an hour of childish giggling.
It's seriously quiet because of low season and if we're

Girl doing flower patterns on the beach. Lipe. honest after seeing the likes of Lipe its nothing spectacular but its pleasant and because of the season we blagged a proper luxury resort with a swimming pool, spa, TV and fridge etc. Aah this is the life 😊. Apart from the severely irritating American group who have to talk as loudly as possible about stuff they know nothing about. Like the bimbo of the bunch loudly exclaiming lastnight at dinner that 'There are nooo stray dawgs in Thailand they're alll owned by somebody'. We pretty much wanted to throw her out of the window. Haha. Nick was a bit sick lastnight but seems to have recovered fine today! Damn dodgy food... Is really doing our heads in if we're honest. You have to be SO careful! And Tif we are going to give you some travel lessons before you jet off to India!! (IE; what not to eat! Hehe)
Ko Lanta has its own TV station and if you come here you have to watch it. It's bloody hilarious. In Thailand we sometimes get the feeling that they are not entirely sure what goes together well (like euphoric rave music at a romantic restaurant). We sat for an

We have no idea how they have managed to create such beautiful food!
So we haven't really been doing much here to be honest. Apart from collecting ideas for the beach bar we're going to attempt to build when we're home!! Reverting back to childhood playing games like 'push a load of air under the water in the pool next to Nick, swim away and as it bubbles up going NIIICK!! To attract attention, singing what we have called the 'Deutsch song' about our funny little friend in Langkawi. (We will show you some time) Also putting all the weight we've lost puking back on eating pizzas! We're trying to pick up as much of the Thai language as possible and we are both amazed at how much we can now communicate with someone who doesn't speak English. But seeing as apparently the Thai alphabet has 60,000 characters and the same word said in a different tone can mean up to 5 totally different

Barman asleep behind the bar. More proof of the sleep thing... things this is quite tricky.
You'll all be glad to hear that Nick is slowly getting something that resembles a tan but still has to wear moon cream for his tendency to burn. (kidding.. sorry Nick) wher'as Holly is slowly but surely turning into a spaniard.
You will also be glad to hear that Miss Unlucky Leary continues to get stung by everything possible. Jellyfish, red ants, mosquitos CONSTANTLY, sandflies, a wasp and nipped by a crab. Great.
And soooo sad that our dear friend Sam Smart is leaving us for pastures new!! DONT GOOO!!! 😞 We need you for our mad summer plans! And we hope you had a radola birthday olde chap. Sorry we missed it.
Must go as our ever increasing Lipton Ice Tea addiction is beckoning...
Again thanks everyone for the lovely messages 😊 makes our day to read them
Lots of love and Happy Geburtstag (dont ask...) xxx
PS. Excuse the photos. We're well aware that we are beginning to look like castaways.
PSS. Can anyone tell us what shells are??! Seriously... How are they made? What makes them? Haha. This question suddenly accoured to us the
