White night. Toms arse.
Hey again everyone! Haven't updated for yonks sorry... Have been on the move constantly.

Well we left our beautiful hotel in Ko Lanta after 4 nights of bumming around and lots of food and got a ferry over to the island of Ko Phi Phi. Most of you will know of Ko Phi Phi because this is where the 2004 Tsunami wreaked most havoc. As you will see by the photos the shape of the island was mostly to blame. It was so weird seeing the place and incredible how much they have recovered. Most things are completely back to normal and the people have this air of determination about them to get everything back to how it was. A quarter of the people on this island lost their lives to the big wave so it was nice to see people smiling again 😊

So we got a hotel and MY GOD was it expensive??! The cheapest digs we could find were a bright green fan room with 2 single beds for 900baht a night!!! (15 quid) And we ended up having to move the next night anyway because there was a banging club right nextdoor that went on

'The Beach, The Beach'
till 4am then two absolute chavs in pink shirts from Birmingham started having a scrap outside our room. Clowns. Aah Brits abroad ay??!

So Phi Phi Don (where you stay) is not actually the Hedonistic Paradise its made out to be. Lessons haven't been learnt about ugly and too much construction after the slate was wiped clean in the Tsunami and it is back to its overcrowded overpriced booze fuelled former self. What a shame ay?? I mean its a cool place to hang out for a couple of days because they have a really nice shopping village where you can barter your heart out for some nice clothes/jewelry etc but you really could be anywhere in the world here. And we think that most of the people there should have saved the air fare and gone to Benidorm. Haha!

Anyway we met a nice guy from London called Tom who is obsessed with swedish meatballs when we were in a swedish restaurant and decided to all head over to "The Beach, The Beach' where the film 'The Beach' with Leonardo Dicaprio was filmed as they have just started doing overnight camping trips to there. There is no

construction allowed on this island whatsoever due to its national park status. We thought we would do the sad tourist thing as to be honest, I LOVE this film and its one of the reasons I (Holly) came to Thailand in the first place all those years ago. So obviously I was a bit excited... We were all gonna be real sad gits and get Leonardo t-shirts printed for a laugh but decided against the idea haha... Which was probably for the best because we would probably have got our heads kicked in......

...So we all pile on to this boat to go on the camping trip and us ofcourse expecting it to be a chilled out thing with a bit of food and a couple of beers. WE WERE SO WRONG!! One by one 35 of the most vile people you could ever imagine piled onto this boat. (obviously not including Tom and Lou and Dan who we met!) The cherry on the horrible cake being a greasy loud mouthed Mancunian stripper guy with long black curly hair, dark skin and BRIGHT blue eyes who was wearing absolutely nothing but a leopard skin thong which later dissapeared alltogether.

Shouting his mouth off about how he was going to take every drug on the planet (oh you're so hard!) We think the highlight of the night being Tom piping up with "If your cock was as big as your balls you would be a lucky man" HAHAHA. Put him right in his place.

We stopped for snorkelling on the way and although we didnt get off the boat due to a bit of seasickness (haha) we fed the fish with some pineapple and we honestly havent seen anything quite so incredible in our lives. There was THOUSANDS of tropical fish of all colours, shapes and sizes in the clear blue sea. No wonder Phi Phi is rated in the top dive sights in the world!

So we get to 'The Beach, The Beach' and I've got to be honest it was worth putting up with the zoo on the boat because this place is INCREDIBLE!!! Got onto another totally unsafe middle of the sea to longtail boat exchange and drove into the lagoon on that. We have never seen anything quite as beautiful as this place. No wonder they chose it for the film. It looks just

like it aswell! With huge cliffs closing in on the beach and its milky blue water and powdery sand. Unbeatable Paradise. Us 3 managed to get away from the bucket guzzling lunatics and found a totally secluded spot to camp at over the other side of The Beach. apparently during the day this place is rediculously overcrowded but because we arrived when the hoards of tourists left it was totally empty. And with the zoo happily guzzling Thai Whiskey out of the bottle back in the jungle we had the beach to ourselves! I don't really know why they bothered coming because none of them once mentioned how beautiful it was or infact they never even looked.. They just sat back in the jungle drinking and eating half raw chicken from the BBQ listening to rave music. Pretty sad...

We didnt get a wink of sleep because it was just too hot and uncomfortable but it was totally worth it just to stare up at the clear stars with no light pollution and go glowing plankton spotting in the sea 😊. It was one of those moments where you all get into a spiritual conversation about the meaning of

life and realise that this very moment is definately part of that. You cant even put this place into words so I've taken some pictures and a video. Not even they sum it up though. Just wish we had a camera good enough to photograph the stars!!!

So we all travelled back at about 10am the next morning. The boat being considerably quieter than the previous night due to the hangovers. Cue Holly Tom and Nick each loudly singing a verse each of 'One, two, three four five, Once I caught a fish alive!!'. They were not happy haha. Oh well. Karma...

We checked into a hotel for like 4 hours, partly due to lack of sleep and partly because nick had a bit of a "I gambled and I lost" moment. HAHA! Before all catching a boat over to Railay Beach in Krabi. Another really beautiful place with big cliffs and powdery sand that earned the name 'The Beach, The Beach, The Beach' from us for being so pretty. Got to be honest the 3 of us are definately Flash packing a bit!! but why not ay??! Because of low season the expensive hotels are all going
PhiPhi14PhiPhi14PhiPhi14

Phi Phi village from the Viewpoint
at super cheap rates so we bagged ourselves some aircon and a swimming pool again for just a few quid. SCORE!

The other night we were drinking at a beach bar and this guy walked in with his girlfriend COMPLETELY dressed in white from head to toe. White longsleeved shirt and white trousers with not a dirty mark on them (almost impossible in Thailand). This again cue'd childish giggling from the 3 of us which only got worse when he turned around and he had a bloody Mickey Mouse patch sewn onto his back pocket. He then proceeded to sit under a UV light at the bar. You really couldn't make this stuff up...
So the next night we decided to have a white night.... We all went to a cheap clothes shop and donned ourselves in head to toe white for the evening then headed over to the bar stools with the UV lights around them. To say we got some funny looks was an understatement. But then we wouldn't have spoken to us either. Didn't really help that the clothes didnt fit great and Tom was wearing a really tight pair of white trousers with his wide

arse crack hanging out the top (see photos)... What a night! He managed to down far too many GnTs and score himself a room pet aswell, in the form of a very very strange Canadian girl travelling alone. (Think Isla Fisher in the film Wedding Crashers). He was just like 'yeaaah come and stay in my room, i've got a spare bed' after about 5 seconds of meeting her hahaha. He nearly died when she actually turned up the next morning with all her bags lol. Que more childish giggling from us...

Spent alot of time in Railay in our lovely swimming pool messing about with 2 nice aussie lads we met, taking the mick out of Tom for having a 'yoghurt making machine', and seeing who could buy the most rediculous pool paraphenalia. Also just wandering around the lovely beaches eating ALOT of sweetcorn. They have women on all the beaches BBQing it. Good stuff!

We've been having this little competition between the 3 of us where we fill in the hotel check in forms with the funniest occupations possible... So far we've been: A Barry Manilow Impersonator, Centipede Chiropodist, Astronaut, Tiger Dentist, Vegetable Artist, Belt Auctioneer,
PhiPhi5PhiPhi5PhiPhi5

Snorkelling off Phi Phi Leh Island. Lots of tiger fish!
Fisherman (Captain Birdseye), Pet Rescuer, Bear Paramedic and Budgie Smuggler. Ofcourse if anyone has any suggestions for our next 'Occupation' then please put them forward.

So we left Railay and headed over to Krabi, went on a mad night out there and met some Dutch people etc before flying over to Ko Samui the next day. Everyone who knows Holly will know that she is petrified of flying due to the fact that something goes wrong on every flight she's ver done. So you should have seen her face when we pulled up next to this tiny propellor plane. Nearly died. Didn't help that there was a load of turbulence on landing, cue alot of crying and screaming 'We're all gonna die!' haha. Next time we ask about the type of plane maybe...

We didn't plan on staying in Ko Samui as we wanted to see Ko Tao but we kinda didnt really get round to it... I think we just both wanted to chill out a bit on our last island before the big city trips next. Spent the first night in an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel called The Red House. It was so gorgeously decorated with

a huge window overlooking Ko Phan-Ngan. Pity we couldn't have stayed longer! Had our last night with Tom lastnight! Had a nice Italian meal, cue Tom being his joker self and asking things like 'Do you sell spaghetti here?' and 'Can I have stuffed crust with fish fingers ontop, and cut it into the shape of Bee's please' Haha. Was really sad to go our seperate ways as we've had such a great laugh together. Not often you find someone else with the same bizarre sense of humour as us! We will miss our friend with the really wide arse crack 😊 but ofcourse will see him again as he only lives in London. (You'd better have the bedroom ready with some shit photos and ants in the bed to make us feel at home mate...)

So next is CAMBODIA!!! We're actually in Cambodia now but going to do a seperate blog entry for this when we fly back to Thailand to do the north etc in about a week! We miss the beaches and reggae bars SO MUCH! But Cambodia is incredible. Harrowing at times but beautiful nonetheless.

Miss everyone loads! Not long till we're home now!

What what what!
I would just like to point out that my "arse crack" isn't as wide in real life as some people may have been led to believe. I'll explain. I took the picture using the timer feature on my camera. Even though I had a full ten seconds to get into position, you can't help but hurry. While I was in this rushed state, I sat back on the swing in too much of a hurry and slid my buttocks back far too quickly, causing the very top of each gluteus maximus to be separated artificially. Oh, and I would just like to correct the word 'scored' regarding my pet, to "accidentally landed"
