So where have we been?
Well if you ask our feet they sure know as we have put them through some severe pain over the last 2 days. The weather here has been amazing and feel really lucky for this time of year as the season is almost at an end with most of the village closed down already. Theres a smorgasbord of trails to choose from all leaving directly from town (thats a town on Patagonian scale). On our first day here Leanne was woken by Matt from her nice cosy sleep with no sign of daylight. Leanne thought Matt was crazy but he was determined to get in as much tramping done before the weather turned. So off we set under the moonlight on our hike to base camp of Cerro Fitz Roy. Leannes questioning of this early start on holiday was soon answered with an amazing sun rise from high up in the mountains. We have continued at this pace and after tomorrow we would have completed almost all the hikes here.

Following on from India experience we were convinced a 2 day hike can be done in 1 day lets hope we don´t get this wrong

Great day and it´s only just begun
one day. The views and landscape are enough to get you up in the morning and we are loving every minute of here (definitely the highlight so far). We tramp up to small mountain lagoons and across wind swept plains, through small thickets of trees in there autumn glory, walked to the foot of glaciers, drunk from pure mountain streams (no dodgy Indian wells around here) and up into the snow line. WOW!!!!

Tomorrow night we head back to El Calafate to then make our way over several overnight buses up to the Lake District for some more of the great outdoors.
(No pictures for now as satellite internet can be extremely frustrating)
