Well after a few solid days of walking it was nice to take the hiking boots off and slip on some comfortable traveling shoes. This is metaphorically speaking given the fact our hiking shoes are our dancing shoes which are our restaurant shoes which are our running shoes and you guessed it, are also our traveling shoes (donĀ“t feel too sorry for us as we do have a pair of sandals each also).
We are half way through our mammoth bus journey and after a day and overnight bus we are at the small port town of Comodoro Rivadavia. We arrived at 5.30am and depart on another overnight trip at 10.30pm so we should get to know this small oil and coal exporting town intimately over the next 16 hours.
From what we can gather there is a petroleum museum(Leanne is itching with excitement!) and a lookout point we can climb at some stage. Better not waste time in this internet cafe when the day is so young and there is so much to see.
PS A day in an oil port and a night on a bus will make it hard to top when we have our next wedding anniversary
