Our flat is officially open to the public now. We had our housewarming party last night. As with other functions with people in my age group half the people that said they were going to come never made it, none the less we still had at least 15 people there, most of who went into town for karaoke followed by dancing..

Big accomplishment today was Marcos and I installed a ceiling mounted video project system in our living room. We nearly tossed the TV off the balcony, we’re glad to see it go from the living room. We now have a screen approximately 4x5 feet. We were out the door by 8:30 and accomplished most of our shopping for the system by 10:30. This included collecting tools to install the system, trunking (to hide the cables that went up the wall and across the ceiling, the mount and cables. We went to work M as an Electrical Engineer and I as the construction means and methods installer. We had everything up in no time flat. I must say the whole setup is impressive.

At the party we had what is called a preemptive noise control visit. No complaints had

been made but we were asked to turn the system down… we decided to go out instead.

Change of topic.

I’m now the producer of a short film that is to be entered into a 48 hour film competition (48 hours to write, film and edit a movie short). This will happen in mid May so I’ll be busy with that evenings and weekends leading up to the competition. It should be a great time. I’m in a group of very creative and intelligent people. I’m the logistical side of the project while a few others are focusing on the artistic. No matter win or loosed our film will be screened in a theater in front of an audience. I’m looking forward to posting the movie later next month for your critique and entertainment…

Got to go, but all my best…

Instead of a TV we've installed a ceiling mointed video projector. We managed to make all our purchases and fully install the system in less than a day... which is a feat I'd have to say.

Fun, fun, fun!
Great that you and your flat mate celebrated moving into a new place. We do not celebrate good things often enough. That Heinekin looks good in the fridge but not as good as some of those NZ beers that I tried while there! I start my new job tomorrow....I am so pumped! A ways to drive....a 45 min drive. But the project of organizing the college's compensation structure for 60 positions will be a satisfying challenge. Our party went great over the weekend. We served Bill's employees and their spouses (16 of us in all) a five course dinner. The house was beautiful and the meal was tasty! We all had a good time getting to know one another better by playing the game 2 truths 1 lie! Miss you but so glad to hear how well your new place is working out. We are looking at dates to come next year to hike one of the great walks on the South island. Any recommendations for a hike?

Frig Bottles
Is that paint thinner or toe nail cleaner in the blue, green and clear bottles in the frig?
