My last full day in Örebro today! horay, and nads comes back later tonight, and i think she's bringing wine, thank god, i have had nothing to drink for a week, well i lie, i did buy a bottle of wine only one though, cost me 10bucks aussie, for an aussie wine, lol.
Anyhow, Yesterday i had a great day, I havent been for a swim since i've been over here and i thought well its bloody well time too! And the place i went to is called Gastivnik i think, something like that, its only about a km away from Nads place, and weather was a pleasant approx 10 degrees for the walk there, and it cos 100kr for entry, which i think is about $20aud, or less i cant remember, but the place was fantastic, and its off season! I'm not sure if i can explain it that well, but the foyer is like a rain forest, the changrooms are pretty ok, with free lockers, so that was a bonus, the 50metre swimming pool is, well, a 50 metre swimming pool, where i workedd out if i went for a surf right now in pittwater, i'd most likely drown, lol, so unfit, and there were diving boards at the end of this pool, so i went straight up to the biggest one, 10 metres, and with heart in mouth threw myself off, great way to get the blood pumping, so i did it again, its weird jumping off a platform where you can just about touch the roof, then i did the 5 metre one so i could dive headfirst, not quite confident enough in my underwater breathing to knock myself out going headfirst off the ten metre, even though i know to flatten my hands out to break the water first, my balls just arent that big.
After throwing myself off great heights repeatedly i went in search of what was making all the noise, and yes there were small things everywhere, some call them children, i just wish i had bigger feet to squash them, lol. When i went inside this other section of the complex i was very impressed, it doesnt so much grab you as a massive space, but what they have done with it is awesome! a big water slide going halfway across the complex, with the whole theme in here being sort of rainforest mountain land or something, and this waterslide the first time down shocked me, not due to its ferocity, but its pitch black, which is pretty cool, then you come down a shute and round a corner and lights go off everywhere, scared the crap out of me the first time, and then the rest of the way down there are lights flashing and moving around so you can sort of see but only with an onset of an epilepsy fit, lol, great fun!
Intwining through the structure of the building with this fit inducing slide is a slide that i have always wanted to try, although in a smaller version than the monster i have created in my head, it has a very short and fast shute, about 30 metres long, and then shoots you into the side of a big bowl, not actually into it as in head first, into it as in imagine a bowl, and theres a hole in the side of it, thats where you come out of, and then spin around the side of the bowl until being dropped out the hole at the bottom, really cool, and i got some serious speed going around that thing, that was a good half hour of fun! thinking that was about it, as all i could see on the other side of the 'room' was a baby area, and i like my water blue, not yellow etc, but when i wandered over it wasnt just a baby area, infact, it would be incredibly easy to drown the small soft sculled monsters, the area was some big form of water rapid mountain thing, now i say big, it was only about maybe 8 metres high at the top, but to make it to the bottom there were about 16 routes, with little hideaway pools and really cool rapid things that bashed you not gently into the concrete walls, slides that were not quite vertical, but would of impressed a 10 year old, and they were, and a nice little 'cave' section to bounce through out to the end, and after a few goes down this i found a couple of alternate methods of going down, and had a ball, was a really impressice ... thing? lol, and around and over the top of this rapid mountain thing was paths and little rope bridges and vines and lots of stuff, tat made it feel really cool, now all that i was missing was a speargun to rid myself of the noise and all would have been wonderful! lol,
Lastly they have a pool that you can go from the inside to the outside part of the complex, now this was open, and what was outside looked like it would be really impressive in summer, when its open, undortunatly they just had this small pool that you could get into, about 10 metres long, but next to it looked like a decently deep wave pool, like the one at jambaroo in NSW, not a surfing one, and they have a huge outdoor waterslide, that was half pulled apart, but it looked good nonetheless, 😊
Only downer of this place was the sauna, and i still struggle with the concept of slow cooking ones self, but i like it sometimes, so why not, but this one, wasnt quite hot enough, though it still made me sweat, but the seats were only 2 high, with a glass door with gaps at the top and bottom, the problem i had with the sauna was it had brick walls, which was fine i guess, as they were scorching hot, but the seats on the top only had a backrest that came to below my shoulders, so if you lent back for to long some very nice brick patterns would be burnt into your skin, thankfully no marks are still on me, yes i learnt the hard way, teehee,
Anyhow today i have slept some more, and relaxed for probably the last time in quite a while, i've applied for a few jobs and stuff, and lets see what happens!
lol, so looking forward to going on a plane again, i love them! fling with rian air, whoever they are, i think ezyjetare the equivelant of jetstar, and rian air are the ones that ask you to bolt your own seat to the floor type, but meh, all in good fun ey!
love ya all!
p.s. possibility of being a rather average day tomorrow, 2 our train, 2 hour flight, 4 hour train, going back to my Aunty Sally's, and then theres the waiting round time, excellent, and i really hope that i have the times right for the change from plane landing to train leaving, otherwise i shall be looking for friends with floorspace in london, lol!
