Well arrived in DC yesterday afternoon and both me and Ben were feelin pretty rough from the night out in Fell's Point, Baltimore!! So we took it pretty steady... well we spent alot of the afternoon tryin 2 get Leeds Fest tickets!! At first 2 no avail, went and had a kip and was waken by Ben sayin he had got tickets! Came down 2 use the net and got tickets straight away... Get on!!!!
With full hearts but an empty belly we went up 2 the grocery store 2 get some potatoe chips (crisps), soda (fizzy pop) and pitta bread (pitta bread) Ate r food and then watched forest gump in the tv room and retired 4 an early night.
2day however we have been doing more walkin and have actually seen quite alot. Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, WW2 Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, F Roosevelt Memorial and finally Jefferson Memorial. The Memorials of the presidents r really impressive structures most of them seem like ancient greek temples. A bit over the top but i guess thats the americans!! Queen Elizabeth and Old Winston have nothin like that... God bless America and all that...
Well 2morrow think its gonna be a bit of museum action as most r free might as well take in some culture... Neways i'll keep u all informed!!!
