After our amazing excursion through Morocco, our spring break was still not over! We decided to spend the last 4 days of break in Sevilla, since we were already there. Sevilla is a lot smaller than Barcelona, and the people seem a little bit more laid back and relaxed. And it is a beautiful town, with cute little streets and hardly any cars. When we were there is rained a little bit the first two days, but then it got really warm and sunny for the rest of the trip. We saw all the important sites of the city, but it is not nearly like Barcelona in the sightseeing sense because they only have like 5 cool things to see.

Semana Santa is one of the busiest times of the year in Sevilla. It is a religious holiday that lasts all week long up until Easter. Each church in the city does a procession where they wear these weird pointy hats that remind all Americans of the Ku Klux Klan. And they carry big wooden crosses and candles, and then at the end of all the people there is a big finale with a shrine-type thing. It is very hard to explain, but I have put some pictures of it, so check those out. But the whole thing is very emotional, people were crying and praying, it was kind of intense. It was silent, no noise, not like anything I expected. But it was a really cool thing to experience and I am glad I was in Sevilla for it.

Sorry this entry is kind of short, but I am really tired after writing that really long Morocco one!!! Adios for now!
