The big prawn...
..they have so many big things, it's like a cult!G'day mate,
We had left port Macquarie to travel to Coffs harbour just a couple of hours up the coast. The main reason we wanted to visit was so Han could swim with dolphins at the pet porpoise pool. So on reaching Coffs, we drove straight there to book up. However, they only ran on a Wednesday and we arrived on the Saturday. I just thought, ‘great missed it again’. As my birthday was coming up, rob ran back inside and booked me in. He said, ‘I know how much you want to do this, so Happy Birthday!’ It meant that we would have to continue our journey up the coast and come back as we couldn’t spare so many days to hang around. I was just so happy, it was an amazing present, something I would never forget.
So, as soon as we had got to Coffs, we were leaving again and carrying on up to Byron bay, before sunset and roos were jumping all over the road! We managed and checked in. Next day we headed into the town. It was a pretty cool place, very beach/surf orientated. It’s quite a hippy town and nearly everyone walked
Byron bay..
..the beach just went on and on.. around barefoot with a half stoned expression on their face! The surf shops here are pretty good with a big selection of surf clothes. We went for a walk along the beach, which, to start with is quite busy with surfers and sunbathers but the beach goes on for aaaaaaaagggggggeeeeeeeessssss!
We walked for probably a couple of hours and it was really nice, the sand was white and soft and the water as clear as you would get out of a tap. But, it was still a tad cold for us. Loads of people had their dogs with them and were swimming with them in the surf which was cool. Up on the headland just off the beach, leading back onto the main street, there were a few hippy old men with dread locks and instruments, busking, but they all just sounded stoned. Along the street there are a few restaurants, with really nice outside eating areas, that a lot of people were sat in eating and drinking. Unfortunately its just too expensive to do when you’re travelling so we returned back to our trusty camper for dinner.
The following day we shot up to surfers paradise to
go to the dreamworld themepark, as we only had a day before returning back down to coffs. We got there early for when the gates opened. The first ride we went on was a motor bike rollercoaster, it was an awesome idea and you sat on full sized motorbikes to ride it. We also went on a ride called the tower of terror, which Han was unsure about at first. You get in a car shaped carriage, with 13 other people. From here you are excelerated immediately to 119km/hour in 4 seconds flat before going vertically up to the height of 30 storeys and falling back down backwards in this car. Short and sweet! It was an awesome day, although for the price we thought the park would have been bigger. There was also a mini outback zoo area with kangaroos jumping around and koalas. We were so shattered by the end of the day though, we were happy to check into the treasure island big4, which as it happened was one of the best we have been too.
We were up early again the next day, to drive 5 hours all the way back down the coast to
busy beach..
..so many people chillin and surfin. Coffs harbour for Han to swim with dolphins.

looks like i wud fit in pretty well here lol it still all looks amazin me n luke have set up r savings account already saving r pennys so we can do it hope ur both eally well cnt wait 2 c u really cnt i need saving from amy lol well not long now dudes so make the most of every day sure u will neway love allways leanne x
