Its halloween night and im sitting on the internet in Loris parents house and i keep getting interrupted with all the neighbourhood kids coming to the door and chiming in unison "trick or treat" some of them are cute and remember their manners but some of them are just plain monsters! (literally) i started off just offering the bowl thats pilled high with chocolates and popcorn but the kids were grabbiing handfuls and i started to fear that there would be none left for me!! Lori suggested that i just hand out one candy to each kid and thats been working much better. Everytime i answer the door i also get a candy so its all working out fine!
Its a bit of a fight with the dog, Lulu everytime the doorbell goes though. She gets so excited and i have to fight her back into the kitchen before i can answer the door. shes incredibly strong for a Westie. Im waiting now for more kids because i want another candy.
So my halloween is going pretty well. Today there was a constant stream of little kids walking down the main street visiting all the shops and businesses asking
for candy. I didnt know they did that. I was in my usual coffee shop and got stuck at the counter holding a tub of candy low enough for all the really little kids to reach wishing them all a "Happy Halloween" while i waited for my iced tea. Some of their outfits were so cute......Oh doorbell! candy! yaye!....the kids that just came to the door didnt look much younger than me, one guy didnt even have an oufit, he just looked stoned, maybe he had the munchies, anyway....... the little kids, so yeah they were very cute.
On saturday we went to a club at Newport Beach called Club Vegas. Jada, Loris friend, knew the guy who had organised the Halloween night so we got on the guest list and didnt have to queue to get in or pay! Yaye! the club was super classy, one guy told me he'd paid $30 and waited 2 hours to get in! Everyones costumes were amazing, everyone really made an effort. There were some funny ones, like a guy dressed as a massive taco and another guy as Captain Incredible. There were even three guys dressed as the three Amigos
and their costume looked like theyed got them straight from the movie! We went with some of Loris friends from Newport. I cant remember their names but they were great fun. One guy was dressed as a gangster from the 1930's....oh the doorbell! another candy for me!!...im back yeah so the gangster guy fitted well with loris outfit. She was a sexy boudoir assassin, so she was wearing a slinky black nightie and a feather boa. Another guy was dressed as slade and Loris friends were dressed as a white kitten, a Lara croft type russian spy and a nurse. The girls sure know how to make any outfit sexy, most of the girls in the club were half naked. There were sexy nurses, refferees, girl scouts, nuns, school girls, witches, fairies, angels, fallen angels, anything that could include a short skirt and a low cut top. I was dressed as a bunny girl. I got a hideous outfit from a halloween shop and then ripped it to pieces and put it together again with a few additions. Ill put photos here soon.
The music in the club was excellent so we were dancing most of the night and
everybody had a great time. Because we were on the guest list we got to stay in the VIP lounge so there wasnt too much of a wait for the bar. However, the drinks were ridiculously overpriced (welcome to Newport) i bought Lori and I a drink and a shot and it came to $38!! We all got quite tipsy and the club shut promptly at 2am (im so glad i didnt pay to get in otherwise i would have been really ticked off). When the taxi dropped us at the apartment there were 3 cop cars outside and a bunch of cops on the street. They had one mexican guy in handcuffs and were testing him for drunk driving. The cops asked us what we were doing in this neighbourhood (its a hispanic area) and then proceeded to chat us up. It was hilarious. I had loads of candies from the club so i passed them out to the cops and even offered the mexican guy but he politely declined. So all in all it was a successful night. Tonight were going to a party at a guys house in Glendora so i can get some more use out
of my outfit, it took me long enough to make it!
